Kon’nichiwa! My dear friend Britta and I are on a little jaunt to Tokyo. Here’s some pics from our first day (Tokyo flea market and getting our bearings while jet-lagged 😬) More to come…
One day the light rail will go all the way to my home in Tacoma, but for now I’m just riding the new extension to Federal Way (and pretending I live in some futuristic world that looks very much like the SeaTac parking garage)
Halloween costumes this year: didn’t plan too much, but got it all sorted last minute! Lydia (thanks to wardrobe queen @ladydrewblood /Beetlejuice for accessories) and Mr. Yuk
I have never been much into gardening but the house we moved into a few years ago came with some flowering plants, so I have been trying to learn how to help them flourish more. I guess this becoming my middle-aged, half-assed hobby? This year’s blooms are looking pretty good! The peach colored roses are my fave and am delighted they have more than 2 blooms this year!
Quick jaunt to Anderson Island this weekend. Jacob’s Point park (heh), the historical society, “the Riv”, a craft fair and it’s silly, but ferry rides are still fun for me. Thanks to Lara for being the bestest tour guide!
A couple of nights out with friends and a visit to a family-run haunted house (right on their front lawn 😮) made low-effort Halloween still a fun one 👻
