@chicagoarchitecturebiennial ; SHIFT: Architecture in Times of Radical Change, curated by Artistic Director
@flor_ness .
BETA office for architecture and the city is part of the video installation Inhabit/Outhabit, which gathers twenty-nine collective housing projects from across the world, mostly realized within the past decade, each reimagining how we live together and proposing alternatives to conventional models. These projects productively question the very idea of housing today—some by rethinking managerial and ownership systems, others by challenging typological norms, expanding the meaning of family, emphasizing collective spaces, fostering cooperativism, committing to sustainability, or experimenting with new materials. Together, they signal a shift away from capital-driven paradigms toward a collectivism that intersects productively with the world.
