I wanted to capture what felt like a big change for me, and this felt like a good way to do that. 💚💚💚
‘My Me, My Who, My How’ is now out in the world!
This title is an excerpt from a poem about Dementia that my Nana wrote before she died. At the beginning of this year I began the journey of becoming a live-in carer for my grandad who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s shortly after she passed. This project became shaped around this lived experience, and created in a space that was once my Nana’s old studio.
During a period of transition and turbulence, these songs have acted the tools and warmth I needed to find some acceptance.
I rarely feel this way but I am really proud of this project and I feel so alleviated to put it out there.
And the biggest thank you to the legendary people who contributed to the EP 💚

Today Willie and I dug up some rainbow carrots that just don’t seem to want to grow! They tasted sweet and earthy just as they were, and maybe changing scenery and having a little freshen-up is its own kind of growth. I dunno.
