Last month, I had my very first on-air interview! Thank you @seatodaynews for giving me the amazing opportunity.
I had the chance to talk about my journey as an illustrator and the inspiration behind my Panthera collection from @bernadetputri.studio . Panthera is not just an artwork, it symbolizes my personal growth and transformation. I remember feeling courageous that day, sharing my story in English was a big deal for me because I used to doubt my fluency 😅
But there I was, standing in front of the camera, pouring my heart and overcoming my fears! 🥺
You might have noticed that there was a sneak peek at the end. I haven’t revealed all the pieces from the Panthera collection just yet.
Panthera is not done roaring, it will soon make its presence known in other exciting versions! ✨

The process behind Insecta Garden collection 🌿
It took quite a while to bring this to life, but I really enjoyed every step of the process.
Each part has its own little story and I love to make everything so thoughtful.
All the patterns are hand-painted in watercolor,
so when you wear it, it kinda feels like wearing a piece of art 💚

A new chapter begins.
This is a story about our tiny friends, the ones who quietly accompanied our childhood days.
Now, their presence feels rare.
The gardens, the fields, the little corners of wild, slowly fading from our everyday view.
“Insecta” is a love letter to those small, magical lives
and to the green homes we hope to see again 💚

I didn’t just illustrate it, I also handled the notebook production. I love to choose the ribbons, materials, all the details was fully in my element.
This was also my first time managing a bulk overseas production to Kuala Lumpur. What an experience!

I love how the colors blend.
I love seeing the story appear on textured paper,
it feels real and alive.
Sometimes I feel a bit left behind.
Like I can’t fully keep up with the digital world, cause I still can’t found a digital brush that sounds like me.
But maybe that’s okay,
maybe that’s part of the beauty.
When I look at this chinoiserie painting, I remember why I love doing this.
These paintings were made for my client @dollydimsum for Chinese New Year, Year of the Horse.
I love every strokes and colors in this piece ❤️
