Closing out the final two days of the Explorers Club x Monaco Yacht Club gathering, I found myself reflecting on how mystical this experience truly was.
Beyond the extraordinary setting and conversations, what stays with me most are the individual people and the stories they carry. Let's talk story.
I had the privilege of getting to know Navarana K’avigak’ Sørensen, a Greenlandic cultural ambassador and traditional Thule drum dancer🥁, whose presence and performance were a powerful reminder of the deep cultural roots that connect people to place and to history. I am very grateful that she shared her energy and storytelling to all of us who were present that morning.
I am also grateful for the opportunity to chat with “Her Deepness,”
@dr.sylviaearle a true champion and master storyteller of our Mother Ocean 🌊 🐟🐠. Hearing her speak about a lifetime dedicated to protecting our ocean only strengthened my own conviction aand excitement toward advancing the
@mission_blue Chesapeake Bay Hope Spot designation through greater collaboration and public engagement.
And I was delighted to connect with another gifted storyteller, Charlotte Rygh, who writes and illustrates children’s stories that follow shrimpnlobsterexplore Shrimp 🦐 and Lobster 🦞 as they explore the wider world around them.
Grateful for these moments, for the friendships deepened and newly formed, and for the impact of individual storytelling that continues well beyond Monaco.
