These New Hampshire Con Man shows were really special. I was always pretty sad that Max Maven never got to see the show. But this weekend, his Sister Sara and her family did. I met Sara as I left Max’s place, knowing that it would be the last time I saw him. I was leaving, she was arriving. I was bawling my eyes out. That’s how we first met. This weekend they drove from Boston to see Con Man, and then they came out after. We swapped Max stories until midnight. It was medicine for the soul. Getting to hear about Max as a child, and as a teenager, was an absolute delight.
Teddy Meagher, so happy that you could come and see the show! And in Plymouth, the night before Dave Zamansky who booked me for years at UNH made the trek. Tabraze Sheikh and Robin Sheikh drove in from Canada with their son. They drove 7 hours to see the show. And another couple drove 3.5 hours from Maine, and drove another 3.5 home after the show.
Feeling beyond grateful for the people who bought tickets, and those who came from so far to see the show. So grateful for Sara Friedman for production and stage managing, for Michael Mills for making these shows happen.
