hard to believe you are in third grade already and charging rollercoasters i am afraid to ride. from sharing ribeyes at musso & frank to pushing faders in studio five, you will forever by my little old hollywood soul. i am proud of you and can’t wait to see what you do next!

when i was 7 years old (my daughter’s current age), my grandpa gifted me a vhs 3-pack including 411vm around the world, tampa pro 2002 and.. yeah right!
those videos ignited what became my obsession with skateboarding.. but beyond that, it introduced me to music that has continued to inspire me to this day — joy division, interpol, david bowie, le tigre, frank black..
i still own those vhs tapes. sometimes things stick 🖤
fun fact: in that 411vm, it follows skaters touring through japan, south africa, costa rica and india. i grew up dreaming that one day skateboarding would take me to a place like india… fast forward 7 years (14yo), and i was presented with an opportunity to build a skatepark and do a series of demos in none other than: india.
