Ben Cavanagh ▪︎ mural Artist and Illustrator

Hey! I've not been on socials for quite a while for a few reasons so thought it would be good to reintroduce myself and say a little on what's been going on (if you are interested 😂) Hi to all new and old followers, I'm Ben, a mural artist, illustrator and art facilitator based in Sussex, UK. I've been taking some time out from creating and have been working for the past few months with @futurecreatorsuk part of @brighton_dome as the creative hub coordinator for the Coastal Catalyst, a project connecting young people from 14-25 with creative career pathways. Anyone who knows me will know I'm a advocate for sharing skills and supporting creative development so it's been a fantastic project so far to work on and I will look to post up more on the creative projects I'm involved in over the coming months. I'm still working on mural commissions and have lots to post and catch up on so I'm excited to share more with you soon! Bognor Regis has its first AUTHORISED STREET ART AREA! Here's my mural, at the Bognor regis youth and community centre, westloats Ln. Definitely won't be the last. Thanks to Kez, Nic and Keir from the @brycc22 for giving the community a space to paint and try out new material. Great time painting last night at Pulse Hip Hop event at Portsmouth Guildhall, part of Portsmouth 100 celebrations. Thanks to the @wordofmouthworld guys for the invite 🙌 Was a fun few hours painting this, alongside @south_soak and @iamdusk83 I could of spent hours on the details but we were against the daylight, but all good in the end I reckon I’d like to revisit this character again sometime

My elephant design is all finished and ready to go on the @trunksacrossthethames trail! This summer, mine and many more elephants will be making their way through Windsor & Slough, supporting Thames hospital. I can’t reveal the final look just yet, but here's a sneak peek.

‘Quite moments’ on show at @oxmarketcontemporary part of the snap shot exhibition for @chichesteropenstudios I’ve wanted to revisit this character for a while now, there’s been more to her story knocking around in my head and wanted to recreate her. Same pose but showing how, when she puts her headphones on, she disappears from the world, lost in the music.
