I took basically no photos of opening. How lucky am I that @jennyandersonphoto had my back? And my front!
I guess I was just…soaking it in. It’s my first opening night on Broadway, but more importantly, it’s the culmination of years of hard work by so many in this building.
How humbling to be among these folks—this wonderful creative team, this gifted and smart ensemble of actors, and these two leading ladies whose devotion, creativity, and wealth of talent is unparalleled.
I guess that’s what I was thinking as I stood there taking ZERO pictures…What a stroke of right place/right time good fortune I’ve had. Thank you and congratulations to the company of Beaches.
Hit it, toots! Get your first look at Beaches the Musical (@beachesthemusical ) before it officially opens on Broadway next week.

On February 16, 2026 I started rehearsals for Beaches, my second Broadway show.
On February 16, 2016 I started rehearsals for Beautiful, my first.
That’s 10 years…exactly. And it feels mystical or something and has me thinking about life and career and all the lessons I’ve learned and all the ones I haven’t yet.
More on that later maybe, but for now I’m just really happy to be here. Come see us later this month.
And I’ll keep you posted on developments for Feb. 2036. @beachesthemusical@beautifulonbway
Spent December sucking my thumb, cuddling my blanky, and telling Charlie Brown what Christmas is all about. Great cities, stunning venues, and remarkable symphony orchestras. Thanks for having us @thebostonpops@tolivegram and @vsorchestra
And thanks to my great friend @ginadmilo for introducing me to Tanya Kateri, Mike Chapman, @antoinettedip and our incredible cast of Peanuts.
“The Blame” takes place at the emotional height of the show where Titanic builder Thomas Andrews (@benmjacoby ), Titanic owner J. Bruce Ismay (@sirwestaytay ), and Captain E. J. Smith (@charlesshaughnessy ) come to terms with their inevitable fate but struggle to place the blame for the disaster on just one of them. Final two weeks to witness this emotionally poignant and heartfelt piece that is sure to move you!⚓️🚢
