Low cusping fog.
A dusking sun amongst the woods of nightmares.
She appears
Shrouded by the witches cloak
With black silk hair kissing her hands,
Holding burning roses,
The ritual begins.
Waiting…
Menacing eyes star through the flaming petals
The fleeting fire wisps into the night
While embers paint the sky like autumn leaves twiddling off a tree.
Waiting…
A unique bouquet of ruby red,
Unique flames are certain.
All at once is a triumph of wynorrific allure
Waiting… Waiting…
Until it ends.
It always ends, huh, when expecting magnificence of course.
Burning roses peak and peter
The dawn comes to extinguish the uncertain
Good omen or bad omen, it doesn’t matter.

An ebb and flow.
A man struggles while loading a vending machine, his sweat splashes to the tile floor.
Someone struts past me and him in the hall smiling, shoulders back wishing us a good morning.
They must be happy.
I’m glad this is all real and not on my Instagram feed.
A conversation.
One over a cup of coffee or a dram of whiskey.
Rarely a moment to assume the worst.
Yet I can see the good intent radiate from their eyes and curt smile.
Thank god it’s real and not on my Instagram feed.
A life. My life.
Flesh and blood. A heartbeat at various rates.
Not a snapshot of a moment made to bait.
Nor a piece of “motivation” made for fame.
It’s the low purrs and fluffy fur of my cat against my hands.
It’s a denial of a car loan. That’s life too.
And what keeps it all intact is my a dedication to craft regardless of progress.
I love my life and I love doing life for my own reasons.
Not because the internet said I should do it a certain way.
Thank god it’s all real and not on my Instagram feed.

Even though this story ends with blood, message of this film is what it’s all about. It’s important to understand these things are real. The addictions and life altering effects they have on us must be understood so we can be happy, not just with ourselves but with each other.

To Compare
(an attempt to be honest with myself)

It seems to be a common human thing to look at someone and think but not limited to:
“Good thing I’m where I’m at”
Or
“Damn, I wish I had what they have”
Both are rooted in selfishness
So why does it seem like a common thing?
Is it because our past influences our present and future?
Is it because it’s an adolescent thing and our adolescence precedes our present?
I’m not sure…
Seriously, I’m not sure why comparing constantly invades my mind when I see an Instagram post.
Then I’m stuck thinking:
“Why is this person trying to get me and his/her audience to be and think exactly like them?”
It’s funny because conforming to a post or someones success story isn’t THE ONLY WAY to success.
I know that. But why do I give 2 shits and let it flood over me to the point of physical and mental inactivity?
Like I’m paralyzed.
Secretly, I do want what they have. There’s this gross envy that leeches out of me Becuase I too have been working hard for my dreams.
It just hasn’t happened yet the way others make it seem it should.
Who knows, maybe I do need to hustle and change my lifestyle to get there…
But is it worth it?
To be a hustler?
To have an ego like that?
To act like your better than everyone?
Honestly, I’m none of those things.
I’m 26.
I’m working on mastering my craft.
And I have the ability to recognize there will ALWAYS be someone better than me.
It’s about working hard the way YOU know how to work hard
The way that makes you unique and sets you apart.
It’s about showing your PASSION through a willingness to learn from anybody and everybody.
ALL those things take patience and time, whether your a hustler or not.
So, F**k’em.
Never compare yourself.
Just work hard the way you know how and know it will all come together.

I am always trying to improving my craft. Making my work more understandable and creative! Which, at the same time makes myself more humble with my abilities.
I’m trying something new here. Gonna be posting little things like this more often.

Tape Face. A project that means the world to me. It’s a story about a family grappling with social media addiction. 1 of 3 sons of the family, Lennie, is a patient at the IGFB (Institute of Gross Fabricated Brainwaves). One day his brother Tony comes to visit for the weekend, and it goes from bad to worse… Fast.
I’m extremely excited to finally bring this story to life and with such an awesome team helping and collaborating with me!
