Been meaning to post about a fun trip to Europe in January. Lucerne Switzerland is a beautiful small cultural metropolis with deep history, and just a short train ride to world class skiing. A morning lakeside run and foggy sunrise was next level! Endless walks on narrow cobble stone streets, historic sites like these 19th century windows by Marc Chagall, plenty of fondue and wine! This pastry was actually called Ben, and it tasted really good, hahaha .
Thanks to an invite and searching for snow and adventure I found myself in Silverton Colorado and @silvertonmtn . We found fresh snow, that was deeper the higher we climbed, and long ski runs and friendly locals. The annual Ski Joring competition and lively crowd rounded out an epic “western” adventure.
I highly recommend this experience if you are into earning your turns and high altitude. @sanjuan.expeditions@silvertonskijoring@visitsilverton

Here’s to another lap around the sun and the opportunity to reflect on the 60 years I’ve been around.
I am so grateful for all of the adventures, laughs, and lessons and family, friends, and colleagues that have supported me along the way. Thank you.
Every experience has helped me grow and I’m looking forward to many more wonderful years ahead.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Sharing a special moment with family at the conclusion of @coastfilmfestival after Jack Johnson and The Moonshine Conspiracy and 9 days of films and events.
So grateful for the many people and sponsors that helped make it possible.

Today’s run was next level with the Super moon rise to the East and a vibrant sun set to the West. Felt powered by forces beyond ourselves.

As many of you know, I—along with many others—have asked a simple question: why can’t we have more live music at the Irvine Bowl?
This weekend’s unforgettable @jackjohnson concerts showed what’s possible. Over the course of two sold-out nights, thousands of people came together to celebrate music, community, and the magic of this iconic venue.
There are so many people to thank, but this magical experience would not have been possible without the vision and tenacity of the @coastfilmfestival
Their motto—“come curious, leave inspired”—perfectly describes this weekend. I left inspired by the possibility of bringing more world-class live music to the Irvine Bowl.
So what happens next?
This weekend was not just a concert—it was also a sound test under CEQA (required under state law). The data collected will help inform a sound-decibel policy for future live music events at the Bowl.
Later this year, Councilmember Kempf and I (as the City’s representatives) plan to bring forward proposed policy changes at the Irvine Bowl Policy Committee to allow for more use of this world-class venue.
The goal: to ensure that experiences like this are not one-offs, but regular parts of the off-season of the Pageant—giving residents opportunities for year-round music and enjoyment of the Bowl.
I cannot think of a better way to embrace our community’s artistic and cultural heritage, especially as we approach our 100-year anniversary in 2027.
Who should perform next at the Bowl?
