Beyond excited to perform tonight at sold out @carnegiehall to finish off three wonderful weeks of touring through the US. And there is no one better, kinder, more supportive and more excellent to do that with than my dear friend @jameslb82 .

The coming weeks will bring a wonderful mix of opera, concerts and recitals - with inspiring colleagues, beloved music and journeys to some truly beautiful places. I’m very much looking forward to it all and would be delighted to see familiar faces along the way.
Even if only for a few hours, returning to my old home town Regensburg is always something very special and personal for me - time with family and familiar places that quietly ground me.
I was very happy to share the stage last night with the wonderful @armida_quartet in arrangements of Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte and Schumann’s Dichterliebe. A privilege to make music like this, in such good company.
Last Sunday: singing on the 27th floor of an elevator testing tower – everything impeccably engineered, lifts behaving flawlessly.
Monday at Teatro Real: I notice it’s the same company backstage. Naturally, I take a photo to send to my pianist.
The exact moment I take the picture… the lift stops.
And I’m stuck inside.
For 15 minutes.
Impeccable timing.
Also very glad this wasn’t yesterday on floor 27.

Last night James Baillieu and I performed for the Schwarzwald Festival in Rottweil - yes, where the Rottweiler comes from. No dogs in the audience, but a very well-behaved crowd nonetheless.
We played in the highest concert hall in Germany, inside the Thyssenkrupp Elevator Test Tower - a place where they normally test magnetic elevators at 246 metres.
Sunset, Black Forest views, and a concert hall suspended somewhere between engineering experiment and slightly surreal dream.

Wonderful to have been part of two very special evenings at the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga, performing orchestrated Schubert songs together with the Orquestra Simfònica De Les Illes Balears and inspiring Pablo Mielgo.
Such a beautiful theatre, a warm and attentive audience, and the joy of two sold-out concerts - all united by a deep appreciation for Schubert’s music.
Grateful for these unforgettable experiences and the music that brings us together.

My wonderful profession takes me to so many places, and I am deeply grateful for it.
This week, for example, I had the pleasure of rehearsing with the Orquesta Sinfónica Islas Baleares in Mallorca, before heading on to Málaga to perform two concerts of orchestrated Schubert songs with maestro Pablo Mielgo.

Throwback to last week’s visit to the stunning Audain Art Museum in Whistler - a beautiful blend of architecture, nature, and art.

Would love for you to tune in - hope you enjoy it!
These days, there’s so much joy to be found in nature—a complete escape from everything on your mind. I enjoyed a beautiful journey along the ocean shores just outside Vancouver.
