I'm thrilled to be playing solo shows supporting my childhood hero @glennyrichards from @augiemarchmusic for a couple of shows in November.

Had a week to pull this all together. Evie, Cam and I put some all nighters in and the end result is very special to me. Thanks to @triple_j for having us. Thanks to the band. Was so good to meet some ultra talented peeps.
In another life I was in a Rock and/or Roll band called The Devoted Few. I think itās about time we dusted off the old leather wrist bands and Kaoss Pads and played some shows. More news on that soon. For now please admire my rich burgundy hair dye dayz.
20 years ago today @jesskeeley and I hooked up/macked out (it was called āhooking upā & āmacking outā in the olden days) next to the toilets at the Judgement Bar. To commemorate this special day I wrote my first ever love song for Ms. Jessica Elise Keeley.
Did you know that Jess hates the idea of being serenaded? Next to birds flying into her head, itās her biggest fear. So the only way to get this song to her I have created a photo montage of our lives together over the last 20 years. I will sit next to her on the couch and stare at her š³ while we watch this together. This love song needs to be subtle or it will make her uncomfortable hence I have called this Subtle Love Song.
If you love Jess as much as me, and I know A LOT of you love Jess, then maybe youāll like this love song for her too.
Happy anniversary babe, sorry it took me 20 years to write you a love song.

Exactly 10 years ago I released my solo album - Upon Ayr. Canāt believe itās been a decadeā¦ Hereās some outtakes from the art work that @mattbooy lovingly shot and created. I wanted the art work to be dreamlike (hence the heavy bokeh usage. Looking back now, maybe we overused it a little!) and have a kind of weightless to it (hence, me jumpingā¦ getting the shot at the top of the jump had a kind of antigravity vibe) We spent a couple of days running around London andā¦ jumping.
Iām especially fond of the insert cover shot (1st pic). The sky had hundreds of condensation trails (chemtrails for my conspiracy theorists friends out there) and the sun was setting creating a beautiful lens flare. @jesskeeley and I spent the day hand-in-hand jumping all over Hackney Marshes. Itās a great memory.
Thereās a couple of alt cover ideas that Matt created. The one of me jumping in the tube walkway is cool but maybe doesnāt really fit the āfolkyā vibe of the music within.
The last shot is emo me on the Thames foreshore. So moody haha.
Exactly 10 years ago I released my solo album - Upon Ayr. Recorded in London, Stockholm and Sydney it was my first solo record after being in rock bands for a decade so I was kind of feeling my way around for what to say lyrically, and how to say it sonically. Some songs I absolutely love and some songs I canāt listen to, which I think is probably par for the course I reckon.
I wouldnāt have been able to make it without the help and love of @sarahblasko who got my ass to Stockholm to record @fredrikkinbom (bass) and @fredrund (drums) and made me feel like this album was worth making. To @matturchin@danurchin for recording any insane idea I had at the awesome @urchinstudios And to @andrewbowles for believing in the record enough to release it.
This film clip was the first single off the record. I methodically shot video everyday for months and then stuck it all together to make this film clip. Every second is a day in the life ofā¦ me. A Beautiful Sweaty Noise. After 20 years it was so great to be back on stage with my old friends again. The rock jumps arenāt as high but theyāre just as spirited.
