What if you could literally 'dive into a painting'? 🎨
For this second episode of the podcast, I am delighted to welcome artist Ben Arpea. Ben didn't just paint walls; he created an open window to the Mediterranean and geometric abstraction at the bottom of a 12 by 5 meter swimming pool.
Behind the sunny colors lies a more complex reality. In this unfiltered episode, we discuss:
• Immersion: How his creative process adapted to the hotel’s architecture.
• His meteoric rise and the weight of imposter syndrome.
• Perpetual creation: The challenge of constantly reinventing oneself in a creative profession.
Listen to the full story in Episode 2 of Art World Residence.

🔛 Art Paris 2026 ⎮ April 9 - 12, 2026⎮Booth E14
Ben Arpéa unveils news paintings, specially created for Art Paris, where he continues and affirms his emblematic techniques. Through his compositions, the artist explores a singular visual language, between geometric abstraction and semi-figurative forms, playing with flat areas of colors and textures to create images that are both immediate and evocative. From sketches, he works the material and the color, mixes the paint with mineral elements, sand, pebbles, then deploys his pictorial language on a large scale, the minimalism of the motifs confronting the large format of the canvas.
🗓 Art Paris, April 9th - 12th, 2026, Booth E14
📍Grand Palais, 7 avenue Winston Churchill, 75008 Paris
Step inside Ben Arpéa’s studio.
Ahead of Art Paris 2026, we visited the artist as he worked on the pieces that will be presented in our booth. In his studio, material leads the process —linen, pigments, sand, pebbles— shaping vivid flat tints and finely textured surfaces. The result is a dreamlike vision that draws us into questions of perception and material presence.

In spring 2025, I had the honor of taking part in In Conversation with Salvo at F2T Gallery in Milan.
Salvo is an artist who has accompanied me for a long time. His landscapes, his use of color, and his sense of stillness have deeply influenced the way I approach painting.
Being part of this exhibition felt like entering a respectful dialogue with an artist who shaped my way of seeing.
Grateful for this experience and for everyone involved.
From December 18, I opened the Project Room, a new creative space located at 📍 21 rue Béranger, Paris 3rd.
Formerly my studio, I imagined this place as a space to be lived in, not just observed. A fresco painted directly onto the walls, furniture I designed and painted, forms that inhabit the space. Painting moves beyond the canvas and becomes an environment.
The Project Room is a carte blanche space, dedicated to experimentation, special projects, and collaborations. It brings together frescoes, furniture, lithographs, and evolving projects throughout the year.
For this first chapter, An Ode to the Horizon, I explored the idea of the horizon, light, and that feeling of summer that stays with us, even in the middle of winter. Arches structure the space and open the gaze, like windows onto an inner landscape.
A place to create, share, and meet.

✨ Currently exhibited at 193 Gallery Paris, with his solo show “De Mémoire”, French artist Ben Arpéa opens the doors to his universe in this intimate portrait by @zoe_stene
In this video, he reflects on his inspirations, his childhood, and his lifelong drive to paint. Since 2020, he has developed a singular artistic language, between geometric abstraction and semi-figurative forms, where color and material play an essential role.
Through this new body of work, the artist explores the boundary between memory and perception, landscapes and still life, texture and feeling. His canvases become open windows onto consciousness, like “photographic paintings” that both freeze and transform lived moments.
