Reimagining Education: Nature as Teacher šæ
In times of crisis, we need radically new ways of learning and being in the world. Iāve written a piece on my Substack, where I explore a transformative approach to educationāInsight Herbalismāa practice that places Nature at the center of our learning.
At the School of Intuitive Herbalism in Stroud, UK, the plants themselves set the curriculum. Through personal, intuitive experiences, we reawaken our deep, ancestral connection to the natural world. Instead of top-down corporatised education, we listen to the land, honor our own innate knowing, and embrace Nature as teacher. š
As my teacher Nathaniel Hughes says:
"We already know how to listen to the plants, the land, how to heal ourselves and how to live well. This knowledge is our birthright." - Wild Enchantments, 2024 šø

The first post on Seership, my Substack newsletter, is now live.
āFrom Individuation to Interdividuationā explores key processes of the living world, how they inter-relate, and inform our personal becoming.
Weaving topics ranging from process philosophy, animism, Gaia theory, and embodied cognition. While offering insights and practices to help deepen our relationships and understanding of the living world.
See excerpt below:
āTo be in the world is to perceive and be perceived. It is a given. But perception is also a creative act. While its transformative capacity can become latent through habits of mind, it is never truly passive. To reawaken a direct-imaginal perception requires a kind of synaesthesia. A blending of senses, imagination, and intuition so the āotherā can be witnessed in Wholeness, if only for a moment.
Such witnessing is akin to insight, and invites the subtle layers of the other to unravel and be known. Living perceptions extend outwards and merge with the surrounding others, becoming a fluid co-inhabitance of an emergent metamorphic space. This affects the world in real embodied ways, creating novel synthesis, deconstruction, and integration in situated ecologies of consciousness.ā

[ONGOING CALL-OUT]
Hi all,
Iām currently looking for people interested in being case studies as part of my ongoing Insight Herbalism apprenticeship.
Iām studying with Herbalist Nathanial Hughās at the School of Intuitive Herbalism in Stroud.
His teaching, and what I am offering here, is a direct, experiential approach to plant work.
Through various techniques, from simple tea tasting to plant journeying and bodywork, we can enter into a process of learning and healing. Deepening awareness of ourselves, and the intelligence of the plants.
The practice is supported and kept safe by the knowledge of western medical herbalism, and other world herbal traditions. But goes beyond this, working with direct experience, intuition, embodiment, and imagination.
If you feel the call to dive more deeply into the living world, and are interested in a holistic approach to healing. Then donāt hesitate to get in touch.
Iām ideally looking for people who can commit to a process (around 3 sessions). Which can be over any agreed time scale that works for us both šš»
Just drop me an email at [email protected] or message me on here.

Balm of Warriors
In the beating heart of being,
A pebble on divine shores awaits and welcomes me,
Perfect is my despair,
Glazed bare in infinite love,
The chubby cheeks of God in drag,
A Soul brought forth, into my quivering palms.
