England Spring 2026. @ale_siekmeier was invited to speak to the young people at St Aldates in Oxford on the topic of dating. We made a trip of it and spent time staying in Central London, Oxford, and then Shoreditch. So many amazing moments, beautiful sights and time with friends who leave us feeling encouraged and confident in God.
Montreal to Albany with @michaelguaglione and @will_d_j Great kickstart to the summer! 235 miles, 3 days, 1 flight, 4 ferries, 2 trains, 2 countries, and lots more still to explore.
💔 What if the dream God gave you… fails? In this episode, we talk about calling, disappointment, and how failure might just be the beginning of something deeper, and even better.

Thankful for a life-giving visit to London and Paris with my bride. We were so blessed by what the Lord is doing in the UK; from international conferences, to local church services, to city-wide all-night prayer meetings, and most importantly to see individual lives being transformed and made new by the love and power of Jesus. A fun moment for me was cycling from London to Brighton with one of my best mates. We also got to see so many other people we love in London. Ale and I ended the trip with 3 days of rest and recovery in Paris, a city that always surprises me with its capacity to restore the soul. Missing it already but looking forward to be back home.
2024, thank you.
The best things from our year were more or less unexpected and unplanned. The painful, or hardest parts of the year were not really a surprise. There is something to be said about our inability to expect or plan the events which in retrospect are the most important. There is also something to be learned from the fact that we often know what is likely to not turn out, but we don’t want to believe it.
Something we keep coming back to is learning how to live in the in-between…Living in the tension of Hope and unknown. One thing we know is that Jesus will be in our future. Any imagination of a future without Him is not realistic. He will always be there and will always be good. He, Himself is and will be enough. Since we’ll have him, we’ll be OK.
As we look forward into 2025, we are entering with our hands open in a posture of surrender yet with hopeful anticipation of what He has ahead of us.
Marking today with so much gratitude for all the adventures, the formation, the people, the new friendships, the old friendships, our marriage, family and the blessings.
Happy New Year ✨
Happy Anniversary No. 13🍾 The foundation of our marriage is not intellect, wealth, or even our dreams. It’s His Presence. The miracle of life is just God. I deeply love you @ale_siekmeier ! There is nothing I am more proud of in my life than our marriage! You’ve been my best friend through every hill and valley, and I could not be more grateful!
“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”
Psalm 16:5-6
Our loop of Scotland started in Edinburgh and reached as far as Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. We saw more than we’d dreamed of, experienced God profoundly, and made new friends and went deeper with others. Scotland is EVERYTHING. 🏴 Thankful!
@many_hopes trip to Guatemala + time with @ale_siekmeier ‘s family was an absolutely stunning adventure. It brought me full circle as we visited a @edelacxela school in Xela that is in the same city where I came on my first trip to Guatemala in 2003. I’d not been back to stay since then, 21 years before. The other way it was full circle was that I have looked for ways to be a part of development and missions in Guatemala since I studied at YWAM in 2006 in Guatemala City. I finally found something that I fully believe in through the partnership with @many_hopes and @edelacxela . So grateful for this incredible work and for the honor that @ale_siekmeier and I feel to be a part of it! Looking forward to all that is to come!
Post @many_hopes trip, we spent 3 days in Antigua, Guatemala. This is the place where @ale_siekmeier and I were married in 2011. Every year that we come back, we visit the place where we said our vows and share the memory with our dearest friends. This visit, @davidlochhead_ and I even managed a round of golf on a course under Volcan Fuego 🌋, where in 2018 half the course was destroyed by lava. It was amazing.
