Excited to be back at A Bigger Book Fair with some new zines, back catalogue, and news about projects in the works!
In 2019 we were working on some exciting new books with some great artists, but sadly the Covid pandemic put an end to our publishing journey. We took a forced 6 year hiatus and quite frankly had a very difficult time. However, in the last year, we decided to start working on projects again, but going back to basics making some zines while we find our feet in a very different landscape of photo book publishing.
I’m not sure that our Instagram account reaches people anymore according to the algorithm, but if you do read this, please come by to A Bigger Book Fair at @peckham24photo this weekend. It would be great to reconnect!!

Set within the quiet intimacy of a home, it is uncertain if the photographs are a personal document or a collaborative performance, if the two are friends or lovers, whether they have known each other for one night or one decade. Created by long time collaborators Maxwell Anderson and Todd Lamming, the photographer muses over the man we see in the pictures, both observing him voyeuristically and making direct eye contact. The chemistry between the two is ambiguous, with their interactions being both lustful and banally familiar.

Dream Lover by Bob Foster
Inspired by Kenneth Anger’s 1965 short film Kustom Kar Kommandos, Bob Foster spent a summer visiting numerous car shows to indulge in a metallic smorgasbord of crisp paint jobs, shiny rims, eccentric themed interiors and pristine modded engines.
The zine Dream Lover will be released this spring.

The book features one throw out, shown here. It was important to keep a cohesive flow to the layout, but we didn’t want to go wild and messy, so there were rules relating to the sizes of images and positioning. The throw out, although the positions of the images look sporadic, there’s are also visual rules present.

A few spreads from Almost. We used Kasadaka paper which is a paper from Japan we have always been fond of, with a spot varnish over each image except for the ones which were originally produced as photocopies.

Part of updating our website involved re-photographing all of our books. It was a lovely moment to spend some time with early titles we quite frankly haven’t looked at for a while. One of the most effortlessly beautiful books is Almost by @guyarchard from 2013. It sold out pretty quickly but there are a few spreads now on the website, and we will post some on Instagram.
