If you’ve ever met Governor Wes Moore you know his positive energy radiates off of him. I’m not gonna lie, it initially brought me pause because I thought to myself ‘he is a politician, they’re supposed to be friendly’. That shifted rather quickly tho. I realized how intentional he is when he meets someone. He holds hands, looks into people’s eyes and listens intently. And when you meet him again and he remembers you with true joy on his face you suddenly realize you have a real person running the state where you reside.
This weekend I had the honor of meeting our Governor’s beautiful mother and sister and what I knew, I now understand truly. His mother’s presence was so calming and cozy. The beautiful smile that she shares with her son glowed across her face the entire event. I was thankful to get to share with her how I have personally been inspired and blessed by the man she shared with the world and specifically the great state of Maryland.
