Marylanders are frustrated. And honestly? So am I.
I can't stop bad federal policies coming out of Washington. I can't make the President keep his promise to lower prices.
But here's what I can do, and what we delivered for Maryland this session ⬆️
Our children are full of kindness and love for the world.
Let’s do everything we can to help them chase the thing that makes their heart beat faster, that helps them take the imperfections of this world and create something better.
Talbot County is the FIRST county in Maryland to reach 100% access to high-speed internet.
Around 2,700 places across the county – homes, businesses, family farms – now have access to the internet.
Thank you to Talbot County, Easton Utilities, Secretary Day, our Office of Statewide Broadband, Council President Chuck Callahan, and Mayor Megan Cook for helping lead on this and delivering connectivity for Marylanders.
Mason Kearns was just 13 years old.
Last summer, during a flash flood, the water rose fast – and the Kearns family lost Mason to an open storm drain just steps from his home. In their grief, they made a choice that I believe is one of the most extraordinary acts of love a family can make.
They chose to advocate. They chose to make sure that what happened to Mason will not happen to another child in Maryland.
I signed Mason's Law this week, requiring every municipality in our state to inventory their open drainage inlets, create a plan to fix the ones that pose a danger, and install protective grating that will save lives.
To Erica. To Chip. To Clay. To Allison. To the entire Kearns family: Mason’s memory is forever a part of our state’s story.
A great elementary school, a new senior community, a thriving downtown, and a growing manufacturing sector.
Here's what delivering for Frederick County looks like ➡️
To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, Coca-Cola Consolidated is partnering to provide 250,000 meals for America’s 250th birthday
I’m grateful for the service they’re providing to our communities and our country. Thanks, and happy 60th anniversary, Coca-Cola Consolidated Baltimore.
In the wake of historic floods in Western Maryland last year, our commitment was clear: we will protect our people.
Even when the federal government denied FEMA assistance, Maryland stepped up. Our administration worked in partnership with local leaders to ensure investments reach the communities most harmed by the floods.
Western Maryland deserves rebuilding and renewal – and that is what we’re delivering together.
