We applied to ColLabo to better understand how our impulse to incorporate live camera work into DR. REES ZITIāS PAGEANT FOR A BETTER FUTURE could manifest. Being paired with @cottonkolton proved to be a magical collaboration. He was instrumental in providing his expertise to better help us explore the mediated modes that could exist within the piece.

In 2025 we vow to lift each other back up, breathe and listen, trust, proclaim our love for our community, and relish in all the smiles!
ā¦ and weāre also hoping we can find another place to as beautiful as @vineyardarts to gather, create, and strengthen our ensemble!
The Bellwether Project is a collective of genre-bending artists creating work for theatre, film, and hybrid spaces. The principles that guide our collaboration are āradical nuanceā and āradical joy.ā Bellwether believes that in order to challenge hierarchical power structures in the world, we have to challenge them in our own collaborative spaces first - and so we are committed to a communal and egalitarian devising process.
Founding members include Aubyn Heglie, Timiki Salinas, Jack Dentinger, Emilia SuĆ”rez, Jacob Wesson, Megan Sigler, and Nikki LoPinto who first started making work together while studying at Carnegie Mellon Universityās School of Drama.
Last summer we had an incredible experience returning to our Alma Mater and collaborating with generous and insanely talented artists during the ColLabo Residency through @cmudrama

A zany, dark satirical comedy about a post apocalyptic beauty pageant-meets-harrowing- government-propaganda-machine where contestants compete for the right to procreate, and avoid forced sterilization.
This play is always on my mind. I canāt wait to be in the incredible room with incredible artists again. Canāt wait to develop this further! Iām so grateful for @bellwetherproject for always feeding my creativity and Lauren Wimmer for writing such an important and HILARIOUS play!
