Belize was such a great time! I didn’t want to leave 🥹😭🇧🇿🩵
This isn’t a full recap but I just wanted to speak to a few of my favorite moments! First @alaiabelize was perfect for my stay! Beautiful resort, amazing staff, they literally checked off all of the boxes!! Would definitely book with them again! 👏🏾❤️
Next @swingbar501 on Secret Beach was another favorite from my trip! A lot of people recommended Blue Bayou, but they were next to them and honestly seemed like a much better time!
Lastly, visiting @cayecaulkerbelize was such a fun experience - more details in my story highlights, but seeing the marine life and mingling with the locals here was such a memorable moment! ❤️
I will certainly be back! 🏝️🥰

Short trip down the coast of Mexico all the way into Belize!! Country number 99! 🇧🇿🇧🇿
I highly recommend doing the islands of Belize going from chetumal Mexico, rather than the capital of Belize! Saves a lot of time! And a chance at seeing the blue hole! Don't skip on the rum cake and meat pies!

Smile for me….😁
I was literally told by a tree to smile and I did. OK, not literally told…,But I can read. I also jumped at the chance to take this picture so you could read it as well, hopefully it gives you a reason to smile. Hopefully you had a reason to smile before you opened your phone and saw this. I love the honesty of the song that’s attached… it’s a sad honesty, that I think many of us are susceptible to. If you’re seeing this on social media and you are (duh)… you likely get it to a greater or lesser degree. We all fall victim to the gram and somebody else’s life… at least the part they portray. No one ever hangs up the dirty laundry in the backyard where the neighbors can see. I think that’s why I feel compelled to write something below my pictures that illustrates the duality of life. I fear far too many of us get caught up in thinking we are so far behind our peers, that they are doing so much better than we are. I have heard it said and occasionally repeat that “comparison is the thief of joy”. And now in society we deal with social media that is far less social, but more of a curated advertisement for how amazing we are. We are amazing…, just not all that. I actually think we’re more amazing when we own up to that, we are definitely kinder.

The Belize Reef is a gem in our ocean.
We have made 11 dives from San Pedro with Amigos del Mar Belize, and it ranks number 1 among the dive sites we have visited.
The reef is breathtakingly beautiful and there is marine life in abundance. The sharks certainly thrive here, and you regularly encounter the nurse shark, the Caribbean reef shark, and the bull shark.
The Amigos Del Mar Belize dive center is a fantastic dive school with friendly and passionate staff who contribute to protecting our ocean.
Below are a number of dive sites we visited with Amigos Del Mar Belize.
📍San Pedro Canyons
📍Calabash Caye
📍Turneffe
📍Great Blue Hole
📍Half Moon Caye Wall
📍Long Caye Aquarium
📍Hol Chan Marine
📍Turtle Canyon
📍Ambergris Caye
📍Caye Caulker
Belize Barrier Reef
You will find crystal-clear water, impressive marine life, and the famous Great Blue Hole there: the Belize Barrier Reef is a 300-kilometer-long collection of coral reefs in the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Belize. It is part of the second-largest barrier reef in the world and is one of Belize's most impressive attractions. The enormous reef offers a gigantic variety of diving and snorkeling locations, where you can find rare animals, colorful coral gardens, and unique natural phenomena.

Found the definition of ‘slow island life’ here in Belize!
Especially in Caye Caulker, it’s what I dream about when I think of an island paradise! Dense coconut trees providing shade and perfect poles for your hammock, calm waves that allow you to camp out as close as possible to the water (or in the water! lol), and best of all, there are no cars! Not even a paved road! Just bikes, golf carts, and your feet on the beach sand EVERYWHERE!
Absolutely unBELIZEable!
