This guy was perched on top of my fence like he was posing, so I obliged him. I think he would be pleased with the result. Or he's pissed because he was chasing his girlfriend along the fence and I interrupted their courtship.

We were watching TV last night when this guy crawled up onto the back of our "sofa" and decided that's where it was going to sleep tonight. Because we are still learning about the wildlife here and because we had seen him in the house the last few days, we weren't sure if maybe he was sick or dying. He was in such a deep sleep that he didn't move when we got up, walked right past him, and made noise in the room. So, we touched him and he slightly curled his back legs in. So, we touched him again, and he was very lethargic, but moving. Kristie picked him up to put him outside, thinking he was just weak from not eating. When she grabbed him, he instantly was fully awake and Kristie said, "He's biting me! He's biting me!" as she ran out the door with him! Turns out that guy had been coming and going in the house long before we got here. We found out that these lizards go almost catatonic at night, when it is cooler, to conserve energy. He felt safe falling asleep on the back of that sofa and we ruined that for him. We learned something new last night and I got a good laugh!
