Besides sharing success stories, I think we have to acknowledge challenges behind projects:
1. Postcard for
@birdandblendtea
Making this was harder than it looks. There were two different boxes (caffeinated & decaf), each with different flavours. So I had to visualise a feeling across both boxes. And I think spent too much time trying to figure this out.
2. Collage Maker Summit 2026
I only made 4 sales. Yes⦠not great but I tried my best. I was nervous teaching a class on hair styles for the first time, unsure if people would care. But a seeing participants create their own portraits afterwards made it worth it.
3.
@giffgaff + B Corp stop-motion ad
This one was stressful. Stop-motion + collage + client work = a lot of technical issues. Iām not fully proud of the final result, but the client was happy. Also Iām proud I pushed analogue animation. Still learning how to improve it.
4. Material Whirl podcast with
@kellaybryden
I said yes before I fully knew what I was walking into. I didnāt know the host and there were no episodes out yet, so I felt anxious going in. Then I watched the recording back⦠and realised how many times I say ālikeā and roll my eyes. However overall it was such a good experience and I loved the concept of the podcast. No regrets for saying āyesā to the unknown!
5.
@openartspaces workshop
First time running a drop-in workshop outdoors, (also straining my back doing pilates reformer the day before didnāt help). Wind vs paper = chaos. But I figured it out, however didnāt expect that many people⦠we ran low on space and materials. Definitely something to rethink for next time.
6.
@londonrecyclesuk PR event
My first PR event. Exciting⦠and confusing. I had to customise a shirt very quickly using materials Iād never worked with before, while also being scared of ruining it.
7. Family visit
I havenāt seen my mum and sister for a year. A lot of emotions. A lot of energy spent. Had an incredible time. Then⦠a very HARD goodbye.
8. 6 years married to
@arronsans
No challenges here. Just a happy moment, breakfast, and two magnificent exhibitions: Rose Wylie at
@royalcollegeofart and Wes Andersons
