TeamâŚ
We got the photos back for our Cliff St Family Project - I will share soon - but before I do I think we need a shout out for the team!
@rebeccakpapas our head of interiors - dealt with all the changes with ease and grace 𤣠- well most of them⌠a lovely sounding board & you know you need one on a build.
@lm_building_group Ben-Ben @benjamin.morgann and @beirinprojects for building the house - I know you are over it and me now but hopefully there are many more projects where we can work together. (Ps. These are our two eldest boys and hubby)
@obioffice you took on this teeny tiny project while working on big things! Thank you.
@dylanjamesphoto thank goodness you were there to make everything look great & calm my farm. From the first project to this one you have always made them look great.
@taelerjordan , @caitymareej , @hjageurs and Emma for the late night styling & some borrowing of things ..
Meggsy @thirteenth_street_living that co-ordinates deliveries and product - umm yes friends she is to thank for getting that stunning Pinot coloured sofa!
@jagerscarpets âhold the phoneâ family is everything and I am so lucky to have a wonderful supportive dad like you.
These are just a few of the many people that come together to help build⌠I speak to women every day about building and renovating and it surprises me that often we think we have to do it alone - or that we think others have.
I love what our team created here⌠and hopefully this home finds a family that can love and cherish her like we haveâŚ
Ok truth be told I just want to clean⌠and every night it is cleaned and the day goes back to mess!
This project by @napoleon_developments is at the fun part of the project where there are constant new reveals and project details coming to life.
It is also at this stage where everyone is starting to get impatient â itâs been a long time coming and it feels like itâs taking forever.
Blink and youâll miss it.
Itâs funny how the different stages of the build progress⌠these two gorgeous homes will be finished in about 3 weeks and I canât wait to see them all dressed and pretty.

Love heart shadows in our latest renovation.
How cute are the boys on site getting photos to send their girlfriends?
Managing a reno is looking a little different this time around - our eldest two Liam (25) and Ben (23) are in charge.
I get photo updates, but with four younger kids (4, 6, 9 and 12) there is not a heap of spare time on the weekend to get out to site when it is now 45 mins away from home.
One thing I love about the building game is there are so many ways to play. It works if you have heaps of time are single or a couple doing everything yourself or if you are busy with work and family and manage the project remotely with a builder.
Itâs about picking the project, the set up and the input that works for you and making sure those systems are in place to be able to win.
Share with us how are you juggling your reno and life? What is working for you and what isnât??

Just a little update from our Cliff St project!
We are starting to paint and had some left over undercoat that was white (donât stress - itâs not going to be a stark white room!)
At this point we are all locked in and hammering away to get it finished before it gets too cold.
Also, as she will hit the market I have all but selected each piece of furniture for every room so the styling will be seamless in theory!
I love the self styling and ran a session on it last week for our DevelopHer members, but I know it can be a lot of work!
Here is my question - do you prefer the styling that has been done by homeowners if it comes up nice or by styling companyâs or can you not tell??
I use the styling as my new fun furniture and shopping budget - but I know it is much easier to have the experts come in⌠where do you sit?? All the questions!

Happy 50th to the man behind the madness.
The partner in everythingâfrom creating seven humans to chasing wild dreams, and making our move to the (fake) country feel like the most natural (and slightly chaotic) thing in the world.
Johnâlover of all things simple.â¨Liker of no-one (except a very select few).â¨The rock. The realist.
The crossword whiz.â¨Master of sneaky one-liners when it doesnât seem like youâre listening.â¨Ever-present father, in charge of all school drop-offs (after I was banned).â¨The one quietly keeping it all together behind the scenes, still using the code 6969âbecause some things never change.
Youâve backed our craziest ideas, been the calm in the chaos, and somehow endured my kind of crazy.
Weâve been calling home Johnâs houseâbecause of course, Ivanhoe is mineâbut as your birthday present, Iâll admit it:
I see myself here too.â¨(Not just because Iâm pretty sure suburbia isnât ready for 2 cows, 45 chickens, 2 cats, 2 geese, 5 ducks, 5 sheep, Roger the Ram, Peter the Rabbit, Kiwi the Corgi, and our ever-expanding herd of horses⌠5 at last count.)â¨â¨Youâve made this life an adventureâand the best kind of one.
Happy birthday. Youâve made 50 look good.
