MEET THE ARTIST - BEEFBONES1 Mariia Usanova aka @beefbones1 is a multidisciplinary artist whose large scale oil paintings explore transformation, embodiment and subversive beauty. Working through a psychoanalytical lens, she creates surreal, semi-abstract portraits of women where hyper real faces meet dreamlike environments. Her background in Makeup, SFX & Hair is integral to her practice, sharpening her eye for texture, skin, and materiality and deepening her exploration of the body as both symbolic and real..
