some more breakdowns of archive pieces we used in Bladee - Obsessed with Death
First are the Dior Homme SS15 Staple Derbies, under the creative direction of Kris Van Assche, the collection was titled ‘The Letter’ upon discovering a letter handwritten by Christian Dior, the collection focused around writing, paper and translating this into a functional context.
Following is a Ba-tsu tie. Ba-tsu is an old Japanese brand made popular in the 90’s, worn by lots of Visual Kei groups such as Dir En Grey, and featuring motifs following strong iconography.
Finally here is Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus AW16’s Armour shirt from the ‘Armors of Peace’ collection
A poetic presentation of anger at the world, crafted into an unaggressive presentation. “ There were no helmets, chainmail and gauntlets, but couters (plates that guarded the elbow), spaulders (plates that covered the shoulder and part of the upper arm), pauldrons (dome-shaped pieces that covered the shoulder and the armpit) were recreated in fabrics to radically transform the sleeves of jackets and coats with soft articulated pieces.”
