Hi, I’m Ogo
It’s been a minute, feels like it’s time for a little reintroduction.
I’m obsessed with spaces that feel lived-in, elegant, livable, and never trying too hard. Quiet luxury is my vibe: thoughtful details, calm energy, soft edges.
I wear the CEO hat but honestly, my favorite moments are still when I’m deep in the creative process. Which is why I co-founded The Young Designers Lab @ydlab.co where we teach teens to create from meaning and not just Pinterest boards.
I grew an extra inch some years’ back to an awesome 5’2” height, to the eternal shame of the boy that told me I can never be taller than him 😂
Travel is my creative fuel, perfect excuse because I love airports. But yes, travel moments find their way into my spaces✨
I still get chills when a room finally clicks. It's the little joys, people, the little joys!
And to all those new here, welcome and thank you for being here…truly✨

@tokemakinwa 's vision was simple: a cozy and warm nursery. The color scheme? Gender neutral.
We designed this nursery such that there's a place for everything and everything in its place. Most importantly, we designed a space that can easily transition to a toddler's bedroom.
We gave the walls and ceilings a facelift: textures on the wall, clouds in the ceiling to keep the baby entertained every time she looks up. Designed and built a dreamy closet fit for a princess, alongside functional furniture pieces.
And the rest is a beautiful, cozy, warm and dainty nursery that both mummy and baby will create lots of memories in.
The best part was the ease of the entire process and how much of a joy it was working with Toke. Her reaction to seeing the transformed space was the icing on the cake.
I am obsessed with how peaceful the nursery feels. Who wants to see the before?

As a designer that understands the importance of continuous learning, I love trade shows because....perfect opportunity to learn from industry experts and be exposed to cutting-edge products and services.
Four days @decorexafrica , from the glitz and glam to wabi sabi, there were literally interior solutions to suit almost every taste.
As a hosted buyer (aka VIP 😉), it meant a gazillion scheduled meetings everyday of those four days and almost 50k steps later, the biggest design showcase in Africa did not disappoint!! Too many amazing stands, too many amazing people, and such endless inspirations!

It's the last visit to this site before we start to set up, please God! Doing a walk through at this point is super critical, especially because a gazillion construction/finishing details are involved. Can't snooze on getting most of the t's crossed and the i's dotted....those snags are absolute headaches down the road. Stay tuned! Can't wait to share more with you!

This experience has been a wild ride! I've had teary days. Screamy days. Happy days. Eff off days! But the valuable insights I've gotten on the many intricacies of custom designing a home tailored to your client's preference and vision? 👌🏽👌🏽
It's too amazing watching your designs come to life. The rest of the hiccups and hassles along the way? Pouf! Minute details. Frustrating...yes, but really pales in comparison to the sheer joy of the finish line.
Excited to see the finishing touches coming to life on this project.

Every time a client's bedroom comes to life, a lil part of introvert me ~ perfectly ecstatic and ok with staying in bed all day, Netflix and chilling ~ is set freeeeeeeeee!!!!
This client let us have at this Primary Master Suite, with the exception of "no loud colors...because we love how you deliver on subtle and cozy". Sheesh 😍. Subtle and cozy we did, with shades of green, and copper, and hints of pink.
Aaaaaaanyways, here's to February...and March (PISCES SZN!!!), to the team installing more gorgeous spaces 💪🏽💪🏽 aaaaand, to the rest of this totally weird but we-shall-definitely-conquer year!!!!
