The heart of Be Centre... a place where children can simply BE, healing from trauma and life challenges, so they can thrive instead of simply survive. Be Centre is a mental health charity striving to make Play Therapy accessible to every child and family in Australia that needs it. We are a leading Play Therapy centre globally and have been providing specialised therapy programs to children 3-12 years old experiencing trauma and other mental health challenges since our founding in 2008. Be Centre uses Play Therapy as a powerful, evidence-based tool to help children express themselves, process difficult experiences, and build resilience so that they can thrive and reach their full potential. Our therapists create a ‘safe space’ for the children inside our Play Rooms, giving them a chance to make sense of past events and simply ‘be’, in an environment that’s centred around them. We exist for them. Because every child deserves to be truly seen. #playtherapy #healing #hope #safety #childrensmentalhealth

At Be Centre, we understand that some of life’s most difficult emotions and experiences are too complex or painful to express in words. Children facing trauma, anxiety or hardship often struggle to communicate what they feel. That’s where we come in. “What they struggle to say, we help through play.” Through our innovative Play Therapy Program, we create a safe and nurturing space where children can express themselves freely, without the need for words. Using play as a tool, we help children process their emotions, heal from past trauma and build resilience for the future. It’s in these moments of play that children can find their voice and begin to heal, moving forward with confidence, strength and hope. At Be Centre, we believe in the power of play to transform lives, helping children communicate, heal and grow in ways that words alone simply can’t. A powerful insight from our conversation with Dr. Shefali Tsabary 🎙️ Play therapy isn’t just play — it’s a child’s natural language. When words aren’t enough, play becomes the way children express emotions, process experiences, and begin to heal. That’s why we support Be Centre, helping children build resilience, confidence, and a sense of safety through play. 🎧 🎙️Tune in S4 @doctorshefali -Gets real about the stories we hide behind - and how to break them @overthebackfencepodcast with Di and Nicola 🎧Available on all podcast platforms and watch an You tube ✨ Join us 💃💃April 24 at the @becentrefoundation Gala Dinner — a beautiful night supporting children and families. Limited tickets left. Manly Pacific #drshefali #overthebackfencepodcast #becentre #playtherapy #diandnicola

Be Centre is beyond excited to share the beautiful artwork created within the Good Planet Studio group. Each piece tells a story of creativity, passion, and the incredible children behind them. Throughout this group, the artists have explored their inner worlds through the wisdom and metaphors of nature and art expression. They have supported each other to express and make sense of life’s bigger challenges such as anxiety, stress, friendship struggles, and growth. Just as nature moves through cycles of adversity and renewal, children discover that their feelings and experiences are part of a natural process. Through creative expression in a safe, gentle arts therapy group, they are supported to listen to themselves, connect with their authentic voice, and recognise the inner resources that help them adapt, repair, and grow. This exhibition celebrates children’s capacity for resilience, imagination, and connection, reminding us that, like nature, we all have ways of finding balance and moving toward growth. It has been a privilege to work alongside all the artists who took this journey. In loving memory of Heather Mead who has supported the Good Planet Studio project from the beginning 💚🌿
