From learning to connecting to celebrating—it was a full-circle kind of moment at the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Conference 2026 at @okanaresort in #OKC!
Grateful for the gems dropped in each session, the chance to pour into and meet future talent at the career fair, and grateful to connect with our #PerryBroadcasting team outside of work—it made the experience even more special. The awards banquet, surrounded by so many respected voices in our industry, was the perfect way to close it out.
Extra grateful for my mentor and VP of Programming, Terry Monday, for his continued guidance and for creating spaces where growth and excellence can thrive.
Moments like this remind me why I love what I do.

A wise person recently said to me (and I am paraphrasing), “Most misunderstandings can be solved with a simple conversation.”
Of course, both parties need to be open to listening and HEARING what the other person has to say. And please, I beg you, do your best to completely absorb everything before *responding* rather than *reacting*. (Projection is a MF.)
Sometimes we may not have the words right away, so take time… Let it breathe. And when you see them in person, tell them you love them. Ask them if they would like to have a chat over coffee or something. That’s where the road to forgiveness begins and the end goal of making amends can be completed. 
I’ve been on both sides of these type of conversations, and I am grateful for the ones that are coming back around to me. I believe the pandemic *paused* a lot of us. Social media is making it even worse because it seems like all we do is talk AT people now… and that makes me sad sometimes.
My prayer for you today is that you and that person you care for can figure out a way to put things back together again. ❤️🩹

Ali Shaw is a celebrated media professional, DJ, and voice-over artist with more than 20 years of experience in radio and entertainment.
A familiar and trusted voice right here in Tulsa, Ali is known for her authenticity, storytelling, and deep connection to the community. Affectionately called “Mama Tulsa” and an OG content creator, she has built a legacy rooted in voice, conversation, and connection.
She serves in a leadership role at Perry Broadcasting, where she mentors and coaches her team, and she also pours into the next generation by teaching podcasting at Solid Foundation Preparatory Arts Academy.
When you meet someone in Tulsa just once, you start to see them everywhere… and that’s exactly how it was with Ali.
I first met her while doing voiceovers at KJAMZ, then I saw her at Solid Foundation, and at community events, always showing up with a smile, patience, and her incredible talent, pouring into others.
Beyond the mic, Ali is passionate about mentorship and creating spaces where stories are heard.
She is also a proud mother, celebrating her daughter, an accomplished photographer, and a loving grandmother to her two beautiful granddaughters.
