The Popover Shirt is here! After about 8 months of teasing this pattern, I’ve finally managed to complete it, with the help of @joflong , who I truly couldn’t do this without. This work is tedious and honestly a bit thankless at times. I was going to post some videos and make another shirt, but I’m tired and will leave that for another day, will try soon tho. One thing I also want to say is that while this is very exciting, it feels absolutely unhinged to sell anything while the world is burning down, billionaires are doing vile shit, and so many people are suffering. I guess the silver lining is finding some joy in making something with your hands, and maybe in supporting a small business too. That feels like tiny win to me.

The requests ended up being pretty evenly split between the House Dress and the Utility Pants, which honestly lit a fire under me. I’m already deep into the House Dress instruction layout and feeling really productive about it.
I do promise to get moving on the Utility Pants soon. Hard pants are intimidating, and I want to make a few dozen pairs before I start instructing with real confidence. That feels fair, right?

Hey! New Year’s resolution unlocked. Mastering the art of making a reel! Popover shirt pattern is actually so close I am willing to make a tentative release date of FEBRUARY 1st, but maybe sooner. What can I say? It’s a fun sew, some challenging bits, plackets can be hard, but I do definitely encourage practice rounds, did this one at least a dozen times before I reached this one, which is still a 9/10 IMO. Bias bound hems are pretty nice and a non burrito rolled back yoke situation which was shockingly easy. Anyways! I hope you like it and I’ll be back with more really great videos soon 🤗
