Born and raised in a small village in the Vallemaggia region of Switzerland, Alfio Tommasini spent several years abroad, living in the United Kingdom, Central America, and Spain, before returning to the places of his roots, drawn back by a deep connection with the Alpine mountains. Tommasini is the curator and artistic director of the Verzasca Foto Festival, which he co-founded in 2013.
Beat Streuli has been creating photographic and video installations around the world, with a focus on the inhabitants of large cities. His photographs exist in the space between privacy and anonymity without conveying specific messages. Through his conceptually sober yet visually rich observations, Streuli makes an artistic and documentary contribution to the current discourse on urban, multicultural societies.
Matthieu Gafsou lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland. After obtaining a master’s degree in philosophy, literature and cinema at the University of Lausanne, he studied photography at the School of Applied Arts in Vevey. Since 2006, Gafsou has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, and has published six books.
