Cant believe it's amost 2 weeks into @vividsydney already! The response to Embrace has been amazing ❤️ Thank you to @vividsydney for welcoming me to bring this magic circle to life. Big thanks to @steve.berrick for helping design and program the gadgets to run it all, special thank you to all the friends and family that helped build these silly glowing people and a massive thanks to my beautiful partner @sjg for putting in hour after hour on the tools to make it all perfect (xxoo). Almost a wrap for The Hive at World of Winter, Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's been an amazing experience to display my work in such a beautiful location, something about LED and snow is just magic.. I'm VERY excited to share that both The Hive and Embrace are making their European debut next week at @umbralightfestival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. I'll be presenting my work alongside some incredible artists and studios such as @nonotakstudio , @collectifscale , @playmodesstudio and many others. In 2023 @combs_vj and @beamhacker were asked by Main Roads to come up with a cutting edge approach to lighting up the yet to be constructed Boorloo foot bridge. We came up with the idea of using Digital Water Curtain technology to create beautiful imagery with precision controlled water droplets and focused lighting. Our concept didnt come to fruition but we both really enjoyed the collaboration and working with new techniques within @notchvfx @blender.official and @unrealengine - if you have a bridge you want lit - you know where to find us!

River of Light - Embrace ✨ 📍 Exchange Flags 🧑‍🎨 @beamhacker Embrace is a circle of 15 life-sized illuminated silhouettes inspired by the nostalgic human paper chain. When people join hands between the figures, their bodies complete an electrical circuit, allowing a flow of energy that triggers ripples of light and sound. This simple act of touch - proven to release oxytocin, lower stress, and strengthen bonds - becomes a living demonstration of bioelectricity and the transfer of energy between people.
