국내 동시대 작가,디자이너들과 사랑방을 현대적으로 재해석한 하우스 오브 신세계 더 헤리티지 @houseofshinsegae_heritage <Inner Rooms>에서 온양민속박물관 @oymuseum 의 협력전시인 <반.반.반.>과 과거의 사랑방을 오늘의 시선으로 해석한 <사랑방> 전시가 함께 진행되고 있습니다. be formative는 학문과 사유를 주제로 오브제와 함께 소반 <교각>의 다양한 쓰임을 선보이며, 나아가 배움과 사유가 머무는 공간으로서의 가능성을 제안합니다.
소반 작품 이외에도 참여 디자이너분들의 작업들을 공간 곳곳 관람 중에 만나볼 수 있습니다. 💌

굽이반 Gub-i Ban
길이나 물줄기가 방향을 바꾸며 휘어 이어지는 모양을 뜻하는 ‘굽이’에서 출발한 소반입니다. 자연스러운 흐름, 완만한 곡선을 가진 ‘굽은 라인’을 소반 디자인의 기본 언어로 삼았습니다.
동일한 모듈 세 개를 반복·연결하는 방식으로 소반의 다리 구조를 이루며, 각 모듈은 동일한 형태를 유지하면서도 서로 다른 방향으로 배치되어 여러 각도에서 다른 굽이 조형을 볼 수 있습니다. 굽이 조형으로 이루어진 다리는 정제된 구조임에도 부드럽고 안정적인 인상을 줍니다.
내부와 외부는 서로 다른 컬러의 옻칠 마감으로 대비를 주었으며, 다리 중앙에는 원형의 구멍을 두어 내부 구조를 들여다볼 수 있습니다.
This soban is inspired by gub-i, a Korean word that describes gentle curves and flowing lines. Based on this idea, we developed a simple curved form with a natural flow and used it as the main design language.
The legs are made by repeating and connecting three identical modules. Each module has the same shape but is placed in a different direction, so the curves appear differently depending on the viewing angle. This creates a soft and stable overall form.
The inside and outside are finished with different lacquer colors to create contrast. A circular opening at the center of each leg reveals part of the inner structure.

제5회 한글실험프로젝트 <글(자)감(각):쓰기와 도구>
‘모음 도구’는 한글의 모양을 새롭게 해석하여 만든 글쓰기 도구입니다. 자음의 대칭적인 형태(ㅎ, ㅊ, ㅅ), 획이 더해져 만들어진 형태(ㅁ, ㅍ), 단순한 직선 형태를 띠는 모음(ㅣ) 과 같은 글자들을 본떠 조형과 기능이 자연스럽게 어우러질 수 있도록 하였습니다. 트레이·문진·필함·연필 홀더·연필깎이·다용도 함 등 필기도구의 거치와 수납을 위한 오브제로 구성하였으며, 시간의 흐름에 따라 자연스럽게 변하는 나무와 사용성을 고려해 마찰이 많은 부분에는 가죽을 사용하여 따뜻하고 부드러운 느낌을 함께 담았습니다.
전시는 서울역284 RTO에서 2026년 3월 22일까지 진행됩니다.
