2026 shooting season — officially underway
First match of the year kicked off at the Oh Shoot Shootout Series… and Mother Nature showed up early.
Rainy start, slick conditions, no excuses.
3rd Overall out of 184 shooters.
This year I’m committing to more aggression—visually and physically—with one clear goal: SHOOTING FASTER.
I’m ready to push the envelope, trust the work, and see what’s truly possible over the next year.
Huge thank you to the people who make this journey possible:
@elite.ccw — my home base. The facility I train in and the best staff around, holding it down while I’m away at major matches. I couldn’t do this without you.
@howitzerclothing — the best gear for any condition. Rain, heat, or long days. The Foxtrots are hands-down my favorite pants—I shoot matches in them, work in them, even wear them to church on Sundays.
@lokgrips — Veloce Palm Swell on my Shadow 2 for ~1.5 years now, and nothing else comes close. Absolute control in every condition… even pouring rain like this weekend.
• Positive Energy — thank you for believing in me and helping provide the gear I’d be buying out of pocket anyway. Your support means more than you know.
Locked in. Hungry. Just getting started.
Let’s see what 2026 has in store. 👊🔥

Had a blast filming with Team Howitzer at the Area 2 championship 2025 Desert Classic. I wish Instagram would let me upload 4k. Full 4K videos to come!

What makes this sport special isn’t just the shooting — it’s the people you meet along the way. Always a blast shooting with my Howitzer teammates @eric.howitzerclothing , @shooting_training_competing , and @jarrod_rw .
Huge shoutout to Stephen and his daughter Mesa — they crushed it all weekend! Mesa’s shooting and attitude are inspiring, and it’s awesome to see a dad supporting his daughter’s shooting journey like that.
I wanted to challenge myself and also have fun. I shot the whole match from concealed for the @hunter_constantine BELT challenge.
I finished 18th out of 182 in Carry Optic.

Working on my weaknesses
Traditionally I don’t like to back out on targets. I always prioritize shooting into positions but to get better and run up with the top shooters, you have to be well rounded and consistent.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out. My family and I have made it back to our hotel and are safe for now. While visiting the Pearl Harbor memorial, an emergency tsunami warning got issued. Traffic was bad but people seemed to be helping each other.
Updates to come, Mahalo
Tough match at NAZC. I let my travel delays and frustration affect my shooting. Running on 4 hours of sleep on day 1 of the match because of flight delays i was mentally exhausted and physically tired.
My match performance breakdown:
Day 1:
1-4 went ok, no major mistakes, good points but just a little off the pace for speed.
5-8 I was drained mentally and physically, it a wall and it was hard to bounce back. I struggled with stage planning, couldn’t find a plan i liked that felt comfortable shooting aggressive. So on 2/4 stages i shot a plan that was easy but really slow compared to other top shooting in CO. And the other 2 i knew i had to push a little harder because i was so slow and ended up having worst points, with average times = bad scores.
Day 2: got good rest, but was just really bummed how i left day 1. I wanted to push hard and try to make up 3% but ended up having 2 good stages of the 4. Hit 2 NS which was the only 2 i had in the whole match. Definitely shot more aggressive and my times were better but the NS hurt the overall performance on the day and ended up losing 2%.
12/88 in CO at 87%
37/262 overall at 82%
Overall, there was a lot of learning lessons but i had a great squad that kept the spirits high and were a blast to shoot with. Thank you @echo1usa / @jag_precision for helping me get into this match!

Stage 8 @dragonscupuspsa 27 Alphas 17.60 Seconds
ROs said it was the highest hit factor they had saw throughout the 2 days of shooting. Had my moment of fame for less than 1 whole min until @jjracaza came(he was the next shooter) and ran a completely different stage plan and shot it just slightly higher hit factor.
This is what i love about this game. There is always room for growth. There is no perfect score, someone can always be faster and more accurate.

Decided to go against the way everyone in the squad shot this stage, really happy how I executed the stage plan and how it flowed. @dragonscupuspsa has so many options on every stage.
