Modbap Meridian filter think of it like old 19” filters like the Akai mfc42. CLRS channel strip - compression, DJ filter, stereo widening character injection tape artifacts. And Per4mer for performance effects.
Someone asked who is the #mpcsample even for? Hinting at the idea that it’s some sort of toy and not meant for anyone who has any “real” MPCs. Well I’ll leave this right here. Volume up!!
If you haven’t noticed over the past months I’ve def not posted as much as I’ve typically done over the years. Simple. Too busy. And not inspired to really create despite having a monster lab of synths and drum machine. Can’t fake inspiration. But then the peewee MPC dropped and it’s like a return to the basics with modern conveniences built in. Even my wife says “awww it’s so cute!” But the fact is I’m absolutely inspired using this joint. It’s quick, it’s simple, it’s fun. And on top of that… it’s got potential to be so much more. I can’t wait to see what @akai_pro has in store for the lil beast #mpcsample
What I’d like to see added? Stems export and a midi channel that doesn’t interfere with sample banks. Oh and maybe a synth or two.
Alright… until then… back to the beats. I’m inspired.
Complimentary pair. Minimoogs and MPCs have always been a happy pairing. I remembered that I still had my all analog Roland #StudioElectronis #se02 in the stash and that thing is the best of the best kept secrets from this line of Roland synths. Pairs so well with the #mpcsample … midi implimentation needs a lil work on the MPC sample tho. Needs a midi track so samples@and midi don’t step on each other but as a sound source playing notes and using recall to drop it to a pad and chop it up works well.
