Welcome to @moovottawa . ———————— Meet @bboy_effect Co-Founder & Artistic Director @bboy_effect has been dancing for over 15 years, which he spent most of his life in Cuba and Montreal. He specializes in Breaking & House, but can hold it down in other styles like Popping, Hip Hop & more. He has won over 100 battles worldwide and has taught classes and workshops throughout the nation. He has been handpicked to battle at @redbullbcone , performed for @cirquedusoleil @cirqueeloize and won grants from @cityofottawa . He co-founded @moovottawa in 2018 when he moved to the city with his partner @aleadecastro with the intention to create more spaces for Street Dance to thrive in Ottawa. Capital Sessions is back at the @nac.cna Ottawa on April 19th from 1:30 to 3:30 PM with our Latin House Edition! DJ @eazyeldee and dancer @bboy_effect from Moov Ottawa! It's a free community house dance practice brought to you by myself and @riseashen ! The DJ plays deep soulful house for 2 hours straight and there are two 30-minute workshops (at 1:30 and 2:30) by our guest dancers. The instruction is visual (no screaming 1-2-3-4) and the class portion is optional, you can do you, or learn some steps! You can hang out, there's seating, an awesome cafe, great family-friendly house music and an awesome community vibe. It's a rare chance to learn some house dance steps from an amazing dancer and hear the freshest new global house music played by a world-class DJ on a great soundsystem!
