For my birthday, I promised myself I would make this year all about me. As a recovering workaholic, I put myself last A LOT in my 30s and I wanna do this decade totally differently. I’ve finally outgrown my startup phase and am now entering into a new era… as a writer! Yup, you’re looking at my official author photo–I’M WRITING A BOOK Y’ALL!!!! This has been a dream of mine for a long time and today I’m officially announcing my debut book, The White Man Within: How To Make Confidence and Capitalism Work For You!
I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned and unlearned from my years as a therapist and entrepreneur, and how I learned to navigate the business world while not fitting the mold. I’m really proud of myself and everything I’ve accomplished, but it was HARD AF OMG!! However! I made history, made money, did things Baby Bea couldn’t have imagined, and developed a deep well of self-love and self-confidence that nothing and no one can shake. 💯❤️🔥
So wherever you are on your journey, my goal with this book is to remind you that you are more powerful than you think, that all things are possible, and that even when the game is rigged, there is a way to win it anyway. In 2001, I met @tjenkinsreid on the 4th floor of the @emersoncollege freshmen dorms, we went to a hip hop dance class (where she put my black ass to shame 🙈) and we’ve been besties ever since 🥹 She’s *always* been hardworking and super humble, but I need to brag on my boo a little bit!!!
Last week, Taylor got her 1st COVER STORY with @Time , launched her 9th novel, and my heart is overflowing with pride—MY BISH IS A STAR!! 🥹🤩🤩 The love and admiration I have for this woman is deep: she is still the same person as a friend; but as an author, she truly out does herself every time. ATMOSPHERE is special and will be THE book of the summer. It’s a page turner, but I’m almost scared to finish it cuz I can already tell I’m going to cry so hard! 🥹

Proof of Life Post!! 🐣 Omg y’all, this winter sucked and seasonal depression had me down BAD, but Spring has finally sprung and I’m coming out of my cocoon!! 2024 changed me so much: I finally let go of my startup, my ex, and the Democratic Party (up yours, Hoe Biden!) but I got back in the gym, got a new nephew (!!), new passions, and held tight to my old friends - and that’s what got me through 🥹🙌🏾🥰 so this post is for my people!! I’ve finally reached the acceptance stage of Grief 🥲 I really didn’t see Kamala’s loss coming and was kinda in a state of shock & sadness until yesterday when I when I hosted @acceleratorcon for the Queen of Community @anythingbutsoso . It was a day full of inspiration and innovation and it really brought me back to the meaning of life: community is the cure! People can be mean and divisive, sure. But they can also be kind and creative, so even though the government is taking away women’s right to choose, we can still choose where we put our time and energy. Ignore the hate, invest in your friends and self-care, go to fun events, support local causes, learn a new skill! I really think archery might be my new hobby in case Trump brings back the Hunger Games, thank you @hiddengemsarchery ! 🤗🤗🎯
So even though the prez might be destructive and disrespectful the next four years, just remember to protect your peace and love on your peeps. We’re all we got 🥹❤️🩹🥰
