Last year at @gameonexpo I had the absolute joy of meeting the one and only @ericaschroederva She was so incredibly nice, charming, and she took an interest in me and as a fan and that really meant a lot! We had some fun conversation about Blaze and Silver. I cant exactly recall everything that was said anymore but I walked away from that interaction with a sense of profound happiness and with an autograph!!!. She also voices another one of my favorite characters: Eevee 🤩😍 perhaps we'll meet again in the future 🤎🤎🤎

So back in.....uh...2019? I decided I wanted to compete as Blaze the cat at Game On Expo. Completely remade the costume but to be honest while my technique was better I dont think my tailoring was.....or my wig styling 😆

Sadly I feel like i lost a lot of pictures from that time....idk what happened to them. Blaze was such a comfort cosplay for me but it kinda feels like that was an era goneby. Went from Blaze to Meowth lol (can you see a pattern here 🙀)

I used to maintain Blaze the cat super hard at cons, she was a comfort cosplay and my partner used to be Silver. Sadly things change and time moves on but I do still wear her from time to time.

This was my first iteration of Blaze. I made everything except the pants, I think i got them off Aliexpress or something 😅. I believe this was one of my first attempts at ears and tails. I remember my dad bending a hanger into a tail for me

Things I learned on this cosplay:
💜 EASE!! No one had explained ease to me for curved seams but at a panel someone did so I tried it for the first time
💜 Adding fixtures to wigs: I think I did a base with a screw sticking out through the top on this one
💜 painting shoes with fabric paint is generally more flexible
