We are saddened by the news that our friend Luke Conner has passed away - he was an enthusiastic supporter and sponsor of the #BayouRoundUp and his flathead powered 1931 Ford roadster here in Blackham was the #Kontinentals pick back in 2018. We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to all his family and friends.
This was 2017 at The Bayou Round Up and this was one of the coolest mofos to ever grace the stage at @bayouroundup . This is the legendary Denny Freeman and we lost this giant last weekend. It was a shock to all of us who knew and loved Denny. He was an incredible musician who made everyone he played with sound better. He was top dog, blue chip and a guitarist that all guitar players looked up to and I mean guys like Jimmie, Stevie, Charlie, CC, Doyle, Derek and many others. I can only describe him as an understated elegant player that could kick his leg up and turn into an assassin at any moment on his instrument. But in addition to being an incredible musician, Denny was one of the warmest, most encouraging individual that had a real interest in his friends' well being. Always great stories and a encyclopedia of music history among other things and many were personal experiences just like seen in the second pic sharing stories with the late great Lafayette legend Lil Buck Sinegal when they got together that year at @dmaraist house party. We will miss Denny forever as he was one of a kind. 🙏💔
