Hey BawdyPlus fam! Running an indie thrift boutique is really hard. Our costs have steadily increased this year and small businesses everywhere are struggling. Since we opened, we’ve had overwhelming interest in selling clothing to us for cash, and we’ve often had to close our appointment books due to long waiting lists. While we realize many of you appreciated being able to sell clothes for cash, we also need folks to shop our collection to keep the cycle going!
In order to make our business as strong as possible in these difficult times, we’ve decided to make some changes. Going forward, we will be doing *most* of our buying for BawdyPlus store credit. Swipe through for more details, a few exceptions to this policy, and some options if you're not able to use your store credit.
An important note: this doesn't apply to folks who already have an appointment on the books or who've we've been in touch with about buying already. If that's you - you're all set!
As always, thank you all for being a part of our small business adventure. It's a new challenge every day, but since we opened back in 2022, it's been clear that we are filling a need in our community. We couldn't do this without your support.

Philly FatCon Weekend has finally arrived!! We are closing early today (10/31) and making our way down to Philadelphia. Our Jim Thorpe Shop will be closed Saturday & Sunday. If you are also going to PFC, swing by the table and say hey! 🎃

🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌈 This Friday is the Jim Thorpe Pride Crawl! We're part of a trail of 20+ businesses around town participating in this all day party and pub crawl. At BawdyPlus, we'll have a resource station where you can get info on local LGBTQ resources and write a postcard to an elected official, plus participants in the crawl will get a raffle ticket just for visiting and 15% off any $15+ purchase.
👉 If you need a safer place to change into your perfect pride outfit, our comfy spacious fitting room will be open to everyone.
🌈The full details:
Start your crawl at @donerdsdonuts , pick up your wristband and crawl card (starting in the morning)
Explore the town, collect raffle tickets as you go (1 for visiting, 2 more with a purchase)
5:00 PM: Pre-party at Café Arielle
6:30 PM: Sidewalk Pride Parade to downtown
7:00-10:30 PM : Continue the crawl at your own pace. Notch 8 will be open all evening, hang out upstairs and drop off your raffle tickets by 10:30 PM. Raffle winners will be announced the next day!
