Sketchbook from 2020. Oh no covid times! I was hunkering down in my apartment in Los Angeles with @gibbykain at the time. Worried about our family, friends, ourselves it fucking sucked. I both hated my job and glad I had it. But I was coping by drinking a ton of scotch and rewatching red letter media videos lol. This is actually how party crypt came to pass. Drawing a bunch of goofy skulls and thinking about the apocalypse and how to make that funny. A complex time for me creatively. But I was developing something.
Sketchbook from 2017. I want to share more work for my sketchbook. I think it’s important that we as artists start showing more of our process and documenting ourselves. People that use AI and call themselves “artists” can’t do something like this. They’re too afraid and lazy. Humans get messy, make mistakes, draw dumb shit. I’m gonna try to get away from the highly curated portfolio Instagram to more of a documentation blog. So when you think “who cares” say “well, I do. I care” and that’s the stuff I wanna see more of on this platform.
