“Caelestis was created during a period of recordings which took inspiration from the formation of our sound bath project "Winterwood Sound Immersions". We founded "WSI" in late 2018 after feeling the need to both perform, as well as record sounds with the intention of holding relaxing spaces for other people. When listening, we can't help feeling that the two pieces represent both weightlessness, and grounding. Part 1 evokes the power of light, and levitation in various forms. The looped strings evoke a yearning, unresolved and resting just above the horizon, but never veering far above it. Part 2 is a densely layered excursion into the earth. As though the listener is buried within the soil, surrounded and engulfed by the sounds.” - Winterwood
