Support and follow @route_collective now! Route collective are made up of our third year students. They have a print raffle and fund raising event for this years @freerangeshows in Bath on the 25th of April. They have some brilliant prints and books up for grabs by some brilliant friends of the course. These include @siandavey1 @lewis.khan @chrishoarephoto @murrayballard @clarehewittphotography & @robertdarch the staff team and a loads more surprises and prizes that will be announced on the @route_collective page over the coming weeks! A huge congratulations to @bathspaphoto team member and lecturer @jon_tonks on the opening of his show “A fish called Julie” at The Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol last night. It was an amazing night and so brilliant to see so many of the @bathspaphoto & @bathspauni community past and present come out on mass to support one of our own. Jon is a pivotal member of our team whose presence and generosity has helped so many students over the years. It was so busy I didn’t even manage to get a picture of the man himself! Well done Jon, the course and everyone associated with it are all so proud of your achievement 🤍. We now have exclusive Roman Franc prints of our amazing group portrait available to buy from our store, which you can find by clicking the link in our bio. In November we had the pleasure of being able to have an amazing couple of days with @roman__franc in which we not only had lots of fun attending his workshops but thoroughly enjoyed listening to him talk about his work. Roman also kindly offered to turn his camera on us! Inviting us to be the subjects of one his group portraits and has generously allowed us to sell prints of this image to fundraise towards our show at Free Range, London. Senior Lecturer @jamesarthurallen will be showing his project “100 Portraits” at Locksbrooks Michael Pennie Gallery from Friday (the 6th of December). The work has been completed over the last year and made in collaboration with the wider @bathspauni community. The hundred images reflect our deeply diverse and inclusive creative community that we have across the Universities faculties, departments and courses. The PVT view will be next Wednesday the 11th of December at six pm, we would love to see anyone who can make it! @bathspauni @jamesarthurallen

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming the brilliant and joyous @roman__franc to @bathspaphoto to lead a portrait workshop with our third year students. Roman produced this brilliant group portrait of our third year to help raise funds for @freerangeshows and getting this brilliant group of photographers London in the Summer. A huge thanks to @bathspaphoto legend and top Lecturer @jon_tonks for helping to organise and program leader @_stephenvaughan for his enthusiasm. Thank you Roman 🤘✌️👍

Our Senior Lecturer @jamesarthurallen has his show “Point & Shoot” opening on Saturday the 19th of October at Campus Pool skatepark in Bristol. The collaborative project between @campusskateboarding and @bathspauni brings photography and sport together to produce artworks representing the diverse community that uses the skatepark. If you’re in Bristol please go and check it out!

We are so proud of our amazing Lecturer @sadiecatt and our brilliant alumni @sapphirefwstewart on the opening of their group show figure8 last night in London. We are equally proud of the sheer amount of current @bathspaphoto students and alumni who descended on London to support two of our own. THANK YOU. Please go and see the show if you find yourselves out in East London. Our course focuses on community, belonging and inclusivity. We feel that this show encompasses this perfectly.
