This Latino/e Heritage Month, I'm reflecting on the journey that brought me from the Dominican Republic to @batescollege in Lewiston, Maine, where I now serve as VP of Student Affairs. My heritage isn’t just part of my story; it’s the foundation of my leadership and the guide for the critical work we do on campus.
For me, this work is a personal calling. It’s about building a living legacy, creating communities where every student feels seen and empowered to bring their whole selves to the table. We’re doing more than just providing an education; we're creating a foundation for our students to truly thrive, offering the holistic support and safe spaces they need to grow, learn, and lead.
I'm deeply proud to be part of this mission. By honoring the resilience of my own roots, I’m committed to helping build a more equitable and vibrant world for the next generation.
