It’s all in the details? “How do you share a ‘Nocturnal Garden’ in the daytime at the #rhschelseaflowershow ?” That’s been a frequent question… the answer - with clever details, darker backdrops and plant selection, even at midday you can see how the plants may look come twilight. Come see it! On The Triangle…

The official Sunset Survey Weekend is here! Take part and help us find if you have bats in your area. Anyone can take part. Yes, anyone. Whether you are 10 or 100+, live in the city or the countryside, know lots about bats or nothing at all. More info in the link in our bio. All you have to do is sit in your garden or local park for 1h at sunset and record any and all wildlife you see.

The build up of the Nocturnal Garden at #RHSChelsea is well underway! We went for a quick sneak peek and we couldn’t be more excited. The garden is based on a very simple idea: bats eat insects, and insects need plants. The Nocturnal Garden is good for insects, bats, other wildlife and people too. Thank you to @melaniehickgardens and her team for doing such a brilliant job. And thank you @project.giving.back for sponsoring the garden. See you there next week?

This year we are working with the @batconservationtrust @melaniehickgardens @philsuttonlandscapes to help create a garden that works with Bats, not against them. There are two night events at the RHS Chelsea flower show and we have been asked to design the lighting scheme and manufacture lights that have a lower impact on Bats themselves. We will be sharing more ideas and concepts on how that can be achieved in your own garden in future. Remember there is no such thing as Bat safe lighting. But there are ways to mitigate lighting impact.

Big News, Bat Fans! Thanks to everyone who commented on our recent post suggesting new bats for me to do - there were so many great suggestions I couldn't pick just one, so I did two! 😁 We've also partnered up with the Bat Conservation Trust, so now 10% of the sale of our bat designs will be donated to help bat conservation! People love our bat designs so much we're thinking of changing our name to Rewild Bat Heart! 😂🦇💚 What do you think? Do you love the new designs, and what should I do next?! #bats #batfans #batecology #rewilding #batconservation #batconservationtrust @batconservationtrust

There are a number of people/teams working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the Nocturnal Garden at #RHSChelsea come to life. One of them is @reclaimeddesignuk who are providing the wood for the back border of the garden – which will be ready to be re-assembled into bat boxes when the garden is relocated – and a beautiful curved bench. The timber for these features is from a sequoia and it was responsibly sourced. Timber from sequoias are a rich red and pink colour so, to fit the theme of the garden, it was stained black. This was done using a natural method curing a solution that reacted with the natural tannins in the wood. No chemicals or paints were used, which is good for your garden, people and bats. The result is amazing and we cannot wait for you to see it. Thank you to everyone at @reclaimeddesignuk for your care, dedication and craftsmanship! Scroll through the images to see the amazing transformation. Our Nocturnal Garden was designed by @melaniehickgardens and sponsored by @project.giving.back .
