| đť”… + Parc | Village PM | SS26 Art direction for the SS26 campaign of @village_pm , a Paris-based footwear brand rooted in skate culture. Built around the idea of the frame as an active element, the images focus on composition and control. The shoe interacts directly with the edges of the image, creating tension through cropping, positioning, and negative space. Art Direction: @basilefournier & @studio.parc Pictures: @achille_laplante_le_brun Special thanks to @labasedebaz & @bramdecleen #ArtDirection #Campaign #SS26 #VillagePM

đť”… | Chanel | The J12 Boat Race A short film developed for the broadcast of The Boat Race, a historic rowing competition between Oxford and Cambridge, held annually on the River Thames in London and sponsored by @chanelofficial The motion idents are conceived as a structured visual system built on rhythm and sequencing around the Chanel J12 watch, unfolding through a controlled progression of images, cuts and graphic elements that express time and movement. Repetition, tension, release, each sequence operating as a unit within a larger temporal structure. The visual approach remains minimal and precise, with movement constructed through framing and timing, maintaining a constant balance between restraint and intensity. This is a selection of process fragments and in-progress sequences, revealing the construction and evolution of the film. Creative Direction: @mrpabone Art Direction & Design: @basilefournier Graphic Design: @baptistetorrent Motion Design: @yohann_kampmann Sound Design: @stereo___image Hero product shot: @hawlinservices Special thanks to @hugo.jauffret @victorsoulezlariviere and the Chanel team #CHANEL #J12 #BoatRace #MotionDesign #artdirection

𝔅 | Gucci | Horsebit Art direction and poster series for @gucci developed for 70 Years of an Icon: The Horsebit Loafer, presented at @spaziomaiocchi in Milan in 2023. The visual system draws on equestrian references and heritage codes, reinterpreted through a graphic language that balances structure, repetition, and contrast. The posters function as both communication tools and visual fragments, extending the exhibition’s narrative across different formats and surfaces. Curated by @alessio_ascari , the exhibition brings together a selection of artists and designers around the Horsebit, exploring its history and cultural resonance within a contemporary context. This selection features a series of unpublished posters from the project. Featuring @gucci @spaziomaiocchi @alessio_ascari #Gucci #Horsebit #SpazioMaiocchi #PosterSeries #artdirection

đť”… I Strick | Machine On Creative Direction and special record cover for Machine On, a new album by @strick . Conceived as a physical object combining vinyl records and printed inserts, the edition unfolds through layered imagery and large-format visuals. The images move between presence and disappearance, echoing the tension between machine, energy, and aura. #MachineOn #Strick #RecordCover #AlbumArtwork #CreativeDirection

LISTEN NOW: EP37 with Basile Fournier On Structure as Language: Designing Systems That Outlast Trends What if design is not about style, but about constructing a system that can evolve without losing meaning? @basilefournier is a French creative director and founder of Basile Fournier Studio, working across art, visual identity, digital environments, and spatial storytelling. His practice develops visual ecosystems for brands, institutions, and independent voices seeking clarity, including @Balenciaga , @chanelofficial , @marineserre_official and @off____white . Basile’s work is rooted in arts, structure, research, and iteration. From early explorations in graphic language to building flexible visual ecosystems for contemporary brands, his approach resists decoration and focuses instead on coherence over time. He argues that identity should behave more like architecture than advertising, built to hold, adapt, and endure. In this episode, Basile reflects on building a studio without shortcuts, navigating doubt while protecting creative standards, and the tension between intuition and methodology. We discuss discipline, authorship, collaboration, and why visual culture today demands systems that absorb complexity rather than fight it. 𝔅 I Demon | Hono This image series explores HONO through a controlled visual process. It develops a visual language built on contrast, mass and absence, opacity and erosion, surface and depth, where the shoe shifts between object and landscape. Horizon. Onyx. Nerve. Overground. HONO introduces a new family within the Demon product universe. Suspended between performance and expression, the form is designed to move across changing terrain while maintaining a strong presence above ground level. Developed for @demon____official ,the series extends Demon’s visual territory, approaching technical footwear as a geological and graphic element rather than a product alone. #Hono #DemonOfficial #ProductSystem #formandfunction

𝔅 I Index — A Printed Archive A closer look at a few pages of my book Index, captured through a series of stills revealing its materiality and details. Index holds the evolution of my creative practice, developing high-end narratives across fashion, art, and luxury. Through technology and contemporary techniques, I have explored how visual stories shift between the virtual and the real, building systems that are both precise and emotional. The book gathers fragments from this journey: Images, Objects, and Visual Systems. These pages hold space for what often escapes description: in-between moments, instinctive gestures, and the quiet unfolding of process. Built slowly, image by image, thought by thought, Index marks a pause, before what comes next begins. A few copies are still available for sale. DM if you’d like to get one!
