find me where you find me, leave me where you got lost. 🗺️ (unfolded map emoji) another month, another emergency. another day, another attempt to disappear us all. another reminder that we find, hold, and sustain each other. please share + support my ongoing need for survival funds while going through this very demoralizing disability application process. I’m also super open to direct, tangible direct resources for *surviving* this process. please support the homie in maintaining his freedom! legal defense needed in NY. we are all connected. where can we find each other? where can we hold each other? how have we sustained thus far? (keep that offline tho for them surveilly spirits) image descriptions embedded immediately, will also be added to pinned comments later

Happy Black History Month! thank you so much for all the support with my layered recovery + survival so far. I posted a fuller update on my FundRazr campaign FundRazr.com/RysRoad2Rec (also linked on my profile) but here’s a high-line summary: * I’m 3 months post-op! No physical complications from surgery, but still dealing with increased cognitive symptoms. * Waiting to hear back about scheduling for my next surgery. * Still flaring with all my other conditions and spending the little bit of energy I have trying to manage my healthcare and barely take care of myself. * Been having my time and limited resources wasted by numerous nonprofits I was referred to for help + resources. 🙄 (eye roll) * Having to delay my return to one of my treatment programs due to financial stress. I started doing smaller commitments as my capacity allows, such as accessibility consulting, moderating artist talk backs, wardrobe consulting, and production design. Please reach out to discuss any of these or other services I could possibly offer for pay or bartering. 👀 (side eye) Are there any services you’re curious about but shy to reach out? Answer in the poll below. 👇🏽 (light brown finger pointing down emoji) also on a side note i been wanting to do a Black Care Lineages highlight so i’m finally kicking it off for Black History Month. 🫣 (hidden face emoji) I’m adding at least one resource every day all month. check out the story highlight on my page for more! let’s see if i actually keep up with this one. 🌚 (moon emoji looking into the distance while grinning) image descriptions embedded and in the comments below

I’m a bit late in posting this because i was a bit in my head about articulating the thought and care that went into this concept, but honestly…in true crip fashion, ima give y’all the best I can with what i GOT! enjoy this snippet of my scattered thoughts when first talking to @lo_cayne about doing this shoot: the idea of crip fashion, especially in the context of the pandemic. a shoot that explores the breadth of my humanity without erasing the visual manifestations of my disabilities. so like keeping my elastomeric mask and cane as a part of the look and not as an afterthought. I have ideas for ways to incorporate aspects of the visual narrative into these devices that help me live instead of erasing them from visual narratives, especially as a Black trans and queer person when disability is so often depicted as being distant from Blackness, transness, and queerness. 📸: @lo_cayne image descriptions pinned in the comments and embedded in alt text

I am proud to begin long time dream project beginning with the aid of @3artschicago 3AP program! The project , “We Live In Every Pixel” is a documentary film and developed video game involving trans people in Chicago. It is to be focused around interviews and honestly representing their lives, histories, insights, and the futures each individual trans person desires! In the video game, each participant will be 3D scanned and I will personally work with each person to build an individual living virtual world uniquely showcasing the conversations and personal histories of the trans participants ! The production of the project is being joined with the collaboration of Ry Douglas, an active performance artist, writer and organizer in Chicago. They will gracefully be giving their knowledge, skillsets, community outreach , and insight in the diversity of conversations that will occur across trans people in Chicago! @basicmomdad The video game section of the project will focus heavily on the public being directed to hyper-links and platforms for engagement while experiencing the dynamic virtual worlds that leads to supporting each trans person by providing financial, material, and community support in a expanding network! The goal is to raise $6,000 by July 9th through donations to the campaign page on found on 3arts webpage! Every dollar goes toward paying the trans artists involved in production and presentation of “We Live In Every Pixel” This would include: film crew, game development team, venue support, and providing each interviewed participant compensation for involvement! Please donate in the bio link and also please share to get the word out! This project means so much to me to provide my labor, skillsets, and artistic drive to strengthen community bonds during a time we most of all need active support for our voices while especially direct actions towards financial support ! The finalized film and video game will be slated for release June 2027! Link: /projects/we-live-in-every-pixel/ Link to donate is also in my bio! #TransArt #ChicagoArt #3Arts #TransCommunity #donations

Ry Douglas (they/he) - “Crips never die even when we do because even when our histories are removed, even when we’re killed by the state there’s so much that we leave for the world...just thinking about what it looks like for medical support and medical care systems without it being Dr. Sebi because at the end of the day we were here before, we were doing this shit before Dr. Sebi. He’s not getting credit. We not about to let one fluke ruin our people and the basis of our relationship to the land. So I just think a lot about our relationship to the land how we become the land and continue to look out for our people even beyond the names we don’t even know yet.” @basicmomdad @citadelofcare Black Like That! - Centering Black Trans Disabled Voices panel discussion 01/24/26 Black Trans Mutual Aid Group

Hey y’all! I’m back online briefly to give the feed a quick update: Last week I went to the ER for severe pain and temporary loss of vision in my left eye. During my visit it was determined that I was having an autoimmune inflammation episode. This is a very painful, distressing, and debilitating experience but my friends are taking amazing care of me. I’m slowly but confidently recovering but at the moment I need some financial and material support to help with my ongoing recovery. Please donate to and share my crowdfunding campaign and for folks in Chicagoland, please message me if you’d like to access the link to sign up for my Meal Train. The link to donate can be found here: FundRazr.com/RysRoad2Rec CA: $rydouglas image descriptions embedded + in the comments

so much loss. so much creation. so much newness. so much grief. so many revelations and releases and so much shedding. so, so much remembering. so many barriers and so much access. so much movement and so little stillness! so much heartbreak and so much love. 2025 changed me, but that’s time. how good it is, how god is. so much accepting. email me if you need me! i’m honestly scared to spend less time on here due to my ongoing crowdfunding + needs for resources. thank you so much to everyone who shares stuff with me on here 🫶🏽 (light brown hands making a heart) as i try to peel away, please start //emailing// me any resources, inquiries, grants, etc you’d usually send on here. spite is still fueling my survival. we got work to do and work to be and work to witness!! 🫆 (blue fingerprint) more soon image descriptions embedded + below ETA Regarding my Crowdfunding Slide: I currently request funds be sent to CA (or Zelle and ApplePay for those who have my number), because something is wrong with my Venmo and PayPal. I may or may not have someone trying to hack those accounts! 🫠

Today’s virtual storytelling workshop, led by Emily Hooper Lansana (@emilylansana ), will be an experience that you don’t want to miss! This will be our final salon of the year. We will explore the sacred practice of telling our stories, for us and by us. This salon is open to all Black people of marginalized genders. This means that Black people whose gender identities fall outside the dominant cisgender male norm. You do not need to have a chronic skin condition and/or disability to participate, but keep in mind that Black MaGes with chronic skin conditions and disabilities are being centered. Join us from the comfort of your space, wherever you may be in the world. All you need to bring yourself and your imagination. Be sure to register (link in bio). See you at 2pm CST! 🪞✨ 🎥 Video by Elizabeth Myles: Emily’s performance featuring Dominique Boyd and Baba Enoch from “Remembering Ourselves Whole,” a storytelling project in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture.
