We wanted to highlight Desmond this week because he has original music coming out in February, and this is your chance to hear some of it live first. He plays Sunday at 6 PM at Rudy’s, which is exactly the kind of intimate room where new music really lands. If you like hearing artists stretch out and try things before the record is out in the world, this is the show.
It is also shaping up to be a great week for residencies around town.
𝐅𝐌 picks back up with their residency at Flamingo this Saturday, continuing to bring fully improvised, groove centered music into the room. 𝐆𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩 is now holding down Wednesdays at The 5 Spot, which already feels like a new staple.
And on Friday, do not miss @greyhoundsmusic from Austin at Underdog. Kevin Scott has called them one of his favorite bands, and if you have seen them live, you already know why.

In honor of tomorrow's Sunday Night Soul finale. @jasoneskridge thank you for being the catalyst for so many of us in Nashville. You created a space for artists to build community, perfect their craft, and truly find a place to belong.
The very first night I went out in Nashville, I met Jason; he invited me to the first-ever SNS, and he and Cyd eventually booked me to play a few times. I would love to be there tomorrow, as so much of the artist, singer, and person I’ve become is a direct result of this space. If you are in town, I implore you to go and experience the magic one last time.
