Great job to all who played during yesterday's Annual Unified Basketball Basha vs. Casteel game! There was an amazing show of sportsmanship and friendly competition, supported by a roaring crowd of students in the stands.
This was also their second-annual Unified Signing Day! One senior committed to utilizing the City of Chandler Recreation's adapted program after their time at Casteel. #WeAreChandlerUnified #UnifiedSports
On Wednesday, Basha High School proudly hosted its Basha Gives Back Showcase, highlighting the powerful impact of student-led service across the community. A special thank you to the Chandler Horizon Rotary Club for their continued support and generosity, providing $1,000 scholarships each year for three outstanding student projects. Way to go!
The winning projects:
🎨 Brushstrokes of Belonging: A Public Art Initiative by Breanna B., dedicated hundreds of hours to create murals, work with art club members, and theatre programs
⚛️ Project YTRA by Akhil G., organized a mobile STEM lab with three hands-on stations and mentorship sessions to address inequality for STEM education in Title I schools
🏠 Safe Havens by Grace by Norah B. and Amelie H., designed, tested, and presented an environmentally-friendly and temporary disaster relief shelter for third-world countries to Samaritan's Purse

Basha High FCCLA Early Childhood Chapter competed at the FCCLA State Competition (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) in early March. Basha dominated the competition with every individual/team placing in the top three in the state in their competitive event!
