✨oooook…. Let‘s go!✨
I taught my first ever musicality & solo workshop
@basellatinweekender . The focus was on the structure of bachata: the composition of a song, the sections, the rhythm structure, the instruments and their role, and how and why we can dance to it. 🎶
There was no choreography, so no demo was planned. But thanks to my loved ones in the room (that jumped on the train pf push that
@delia_bachata iniciated), I couldn’t get out of it and spontaneously improvised to the last song of the workshop. Luckily I only played songs I like.😅
This was completely outside my comfort zone, because my mind immediately started imagining all kinds of things: „I can’t make any mistakes, what am I going to do, how will it look, what will people think...?“🙈
I told myself: you love music, you feel the rhythm, and that’s why you dance! Show your joy and let it guide you. The rest will come naturally. 😇
Et voilà—my personal favorite part: spontaneous, improvised, and anything but perfect. That’s exactly why I love it.😊
PS: I discovered my love for footwork and body movements the past year. Especially through a mensyle-class with el maestro
@korke_bachata @bs_dancecenter past July, various lessons with the queen
@judith_cordero_pereiro during
@bachatasensualparadise & Sensual Week, a masterclass with the amazing
@raquel_dc at Sensual Week as well & hours with the one and only
@evelynlanegrasalsa .❤️🫠
Various artists inspire and fascinate me with the way they dance to music. Much love for the swag of
@berraoficial , the flow of
@pabloperezbachata , the coolness of
@issam_bachata , the aura of my mentor
@tomsanchez.ts , the elegance of
@gon_valdez and the energy of
@aitorbachata !🔥
Who inspires you?🤩
